I would love to tell you NOT to stay here... cuz I want it all to myself. Great location, great rooms (I've stayed in a few this month) great value. This will be my go-to on the East side of the Big Horns. Go up and camp in the big horns... get dirty and tired and hungry. Then come hang here for a few days. Just please save me a room.
A very neat and affordable stop before heading into the Bighorn. Room is clean and all the basics are there and everything is functional. AC is slightly loud. And you need to double check to make sure the door is securely shut. Owner is a very friendly old lady and knowledgeable if you want to get around the local or orient yourself about the Bighorn. Free Wi-Fi available. There is no more breakfast provided as the website stated though.
Very heavy auto air fresheners above the door. Can be very overbearing especially if you have allergies to heavy scents. Otherwise, Cute little place stopping in for the night. Hot water!! Decent bed. All you need for night on the road. Brewery A block down has Fantastic pizza!
I stay here several times a year for work. It’s not the fanciest place, but I’ve always been treated nice by the owner and I’ve never had a dirty room. If you’re looking for a 5star resort this isn’t it, but it’s clean and priced right. Always book direct, most online services for small motels aren’t actually connected to the motel. They simply take your money and then they call and book it. This can lead to issues that are unknown by the motel owner and puts you both in a bad situation. Ranchester is a great little Wyoming town and this place fits right in.
The WORST service I have ever gotten. I am a single women driving across the country. Booked the hotel, made sure it was okay if I showed up late on Priceline. Showed up and NO ONE. The open light was on. I called, rang the doorbell, banged on the door. Finally an old grouchy lady opened the door. Tried turning me away after I told her I already paid. Told me I was lucky to get a room, AFTER I HAD ALREADY PREPAID. Even after confirming she had the booking she continued telling me I was lucky to stay in the room I had ALREADY PAID FOR IN ADVANCE. The room reecks of bleach, holes in the walls and ceilings, I would NEVER stay here again. I'd rather sleep in my car.
This motel was in a cute small town that was quiet.. the receptionist let us stay there early we were so tired we checked in at like 11 in the morning..the room was just cleaned it smelled bleachy but I loved it it's better than smelling of cigarettes. They're pet friendly and liked my dog. Not too many places to eat near by but it was a nice little town every one was super friendly.
I tried to make a reservation and was treated very rude by the lady on the phone. I had asked about restaurants in the area and she got very upset that I asked a question. I ended the call. I think I would rather sleep in my car.
If I could give a "0 star" review I would. I booked this motel, through an online booking service almost 4 weeks prior to my stay (holiday weekend) about a week before I got a notice that they may have listed it at the incorrect price and the booking site was reaching out. Two days before my stay I get notified that they will honor my reservation for 3 times the rate I booked it. I can understand mistakes, but to raise the rate 3 times what I booked it at on a holiday weekend, when it was booked so far in advance seems to be a bait and switch on this locations side. Note, even after my cancellation, it was still listed for the same price I originally booked.
