Good wine selection. Limited hard liquor selection. Lots of junk food and cold beverages. Lots of beer. Prices OK. More than BevMo but it is a local store.
We were actually eating at Pete's BBQ, super yummy 😋
Came in here for Pete's BBQ. Excellent food & the BEST potato salad, cole slaw & baked beans ANYWHERE in the county. Be prepared for a wait, though, they're very frequently very busy. Even at lunch & mid afternoon. Best to call in your order ahead of time. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable & most importantly ACCURATE! A tad pricey compared to other places but worth every penny!
I’d like to start this review by saying I’m not a complainer. We have eaten at Pete’s many times (& brought our friend’s & family as well). I ordered a BBQ beef brisket sandwich $16. plus a couple of sides. Total order over $30. Hubby & I planned on splitting everything. It was a pickup order & when I brought it home & tried to eat it I couldn’t. It was almost all fat (I realize brisket has fat, normally love brisket) but this sandwich was almost ALL fat with a smidge of beef. I couldn’t eat it and neither could my husband. I told him I was going to call Pete’s & let them know that we were really disappointed. 1st call I was hung up on. Then I called again & spoke with a female (she didn’t give her name). When I told her I was disappointed and that it was full of fat (basically inedible) she told us brisket has fat and it WAS edible. Wow! Very disappointed with the quality of food and most especially customer service.
Hey, it is just a liquor store. What makes it, or made it, special is the bbq place in the back, Pete's. It was special, but apparently Pete is moving to a more traditional storefront. Too bad, this was as about a county as you could find anywhere in suburban San Diego, great BBQ joint in the back of a liquor store. Absolutely unique in a sea of mediocrity. But there is one way to make it even more country, and that would be a fine Mexican counter in back with some fine chicharon, or maybe a Chaldean fish place? Losing Pete's in a liquor store is a blow to Ramona, but maybe some middle eastern food to go would be a step up? Time will tell.
Shares space wih Pete's BBQ. Really good selection. Staff very helpful. An interesting arrangement. Browse the liquor section while waiting for your BBQ to be ready.
Good selection good service
Everybody working there is very friendly thank you
Wonderful hospitality in a low key setting. Everything was so good we started with the delicious chai latte, liked it so much we ordered a pizza. Then we had to get a loaf of fermented sourdough bread and cookies to go. Makes amazingly good french to
What a lovely spot! All the seating areas are comfortable and unique, the service is awesome, the wine is really tasty, nice views, rustic homey feel. Came here for âa glass of wineâ but ended up hanging out for a bit. Really recommend while in t
Chip, our tour guide was friendly and endlessly knowledgeable. You can tell heâs truly passionate about everything in the museum and makes his guests excited too! A really interesting and fascinating place to visit and recommended for everyone visi
A group of us visited Chuparosa on a Sunday afternoon and we had a great time. It has a small outdoor patio that has one large table for 6 and about three small tables for 2-4. There's more seating inside too.
There's a beautiful view of their vineya
I've been going to gyms my entire adult life, tried all the major chains, and a few independents. This one hit the bullseye with the right amount of everything for any workout or goal. I've rehabbed traumatic injuries, gotten back into the swing of t
Easy on the way - but very hot. The way back was harder, definitely utilized the little shade shacks to rest a bit. Waterfall was awesome - lots of people swimming even though it was over 90 degrees outside the water was as freezing. Definitely he
Wow this perfect stop on the way to Julian. Kids loved it! Had a fantastic bird show, sheep feeding, camels who love apples and a camel ride. Gil and Nancy who own and operate are great hosts and a lot of fun!
