Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the East Bay. Great outdoor patio that is very dog friendly. We go here frequently. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. The menu seems to subtly change regularly - which keeps things interesting. I’ve never had a bad dish. On a bad day, there may be a dish that is merely good. I resisted getting the veggie ramen for the longest time because the ramen I normally get is great. Huge mistake. I finally tried the veggie ramen and it is fantastic! I also highly recommend the brown butter sesame seed ice cream sandwich.
I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and it had one of the best broths I've ever had in a ramen dish! Extremely savory, definitely add an egg for the best flavor combos. I would definitely consider coming back. We came on a Friday night and sat outside as the wait time was quite long without a reservation, but the seating was very cozy with the outdoor heaters.
Simply put, the Ramen Shop is definitely not the spot. We tried the Classic Shoyu ramen and we had pretty high hopes as we read reviews and noticed that it was pretty busy. The ramen was a disappointment - the flavor was lacking and was missing toppings (for the price they charged). It is definitely not a spot I'd recommend for those looking for a japanese ramen spot. Additionally, something to note: if you decide to go, the menu is very limited (which isn't a bad thing but it is when your options aren't good); bring your own hot sauce because if you're looking to make your dish spicy, they charge you an extra $3.
Relatively new, very peaceful Ramen place with excellent traditional veggie and pork Ramen. Great staff, fresh veggies, and good Mescal cocktail for me :-) happy to see a good Ramen place in the East Bay now that I am moving up from LA.
Absolutely amazing food. The ramen here is some of the best, very rich and delicious broth. We sat at the ramen bar, it was very fun watching the chefs cook the meals. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Had the pickle plate, the dumplings, pork fried rice and the shoyu brisket ramen.
I don’t mind paying top dollar but honestly the vegetarian ramen I ordered was mediocre. I totally agree with another reviewer who says it tastes like “run down soy sauce.” Not much in it aside from two thin slices of radish half an egg and a few salad leaves. Disappointing to be sure. Service was mixed- one guy awesome the other person was having a bad day. Cocktail was nothing special (esp for $21 after tax and tip). Bill came to $85 for 1 cocktail, small bowl of veg ramen, dessert, so definitely verging into rip off territory.
Ramen was overrated. We try the miso ramen. Broth was good but its not it tho. The service was poor. The service time was so long we wait 30 to 40mins for a bowl of ramen. Flavor was lacking. Not an authentic ramen shop. More like a bar due of there cocktail bar. Not recommend this one for those who looking for a japanese ramen. And also if you looking for a spicy one get here chili paste which will cost you $3 a side of it. What a rip off shop.
Perhaps this place is better for dining in, perhaps not. My order was missing pork in my ramen and an extra dumpling I paid for. When I informed them, they only refunded me what they messed up on, nothing for the inconvenience or customer service concerns. They also do not accept phone calls—an appallingly lazy and unfriendly business practice. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. Not very tasty ramen and not very tasty dumplings. Too bad for 25 each bowl of soup. Atmosphere looks really chill though, can't deny that.
Cozy, unpretentious yoga studio for people of all ages and abilities. I've only gone to this location one time so far but the instructor was great. Lots of natural light and a nice waiting area with clean restrooms and water available. Highly recomme
Love to support small business inspired by family and culture and led by strong women! Highly recommend the latiya latte and champorado mocha (as well as their chicken empanada) ð we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with co-owner Ari and l
