Ramapo Powerlinez - Rock climbing in Suffern - 250 Torne Valley Rd, USA

This is an awesome outdoor climbing location. Especially if you're local to the area. Parking can be a bit hectic on the weekends so you'll want to get here earlier. I remember I had to drive all the way to the gunks in New Paltz to Boulder outside. The Rock here is a bit rough on the skin so be prepared !

Awesome place to top rope and some cool trad/sport routes. They have a few bolts set up on the tower wall for setting up off a quad. Do not trust them. The sport route bolts were placed in 2016. I believe they were placed professionally. Love this place. 10/10

Amazing spot for those trying to explore outdoor climbing for the first time. Plenty of options for top roping, sport climbing, and bouldering. There's also a lot of greeneries if you wanted to have a picnic in between and plenty of hikes to try out. Highly recommend this place to anyone trying to explore outdoor climbing and from NYC! PS: there's also a few camping places nearby by like Sabago Cabins for if you wanted to do a weekend trip.

The best bouldering and climbing area close to nyc and long island. Please remember to take care of this place and keep it clean. Only climb in designated areas! It is a privilege to be able to climb here.

Underrated climbing location. The routes are easily accessible, Rachel's crack is excellent, and top rope anchors are as plentiful as on peterskill

A few minutes walk from here to a lot of boulders in the woods. Great place for rock climbing. You can do sports climbing as well as bouldering. The iconic bouldering problem is “Honk if you’re burly(V7+)”, it’s very short but intense good problem, which has sit start version V9. A lot of decent problem with variety of grades.

This is a great local crag with good bouldering and some rope climbing. The approach is pretty easy and the trails are well maintained.

The slogan is true. Closer than the gunks and also, less people than the gunks. Climbs ranged from easy 5.5 to difficult. The tower was especially pleasing. Next time, would like to try out their sport climb routes.
