Ramada by Wyndham South El Monte - Hotel in South El Monte - 1089 Santa Anita Ave, USA

Honestly for the price it was a good stay. The hotel is kind of old and so is the rooms, but the service was good. Front desk people very helpful with requests. Needed extra pillows and towels and they brought it very fast. Although our room had a balcony, we couldn’t use it because it was temporarily closed due to a beehive. Under the bed was kind of duty. But the rest of the room was ok. Basically you get what you pay for. I didn’t came expecting the best hotel because of the price. But, if you are not the kind of person who hangs out in the hotel for the day, it’s a good place to sleep after a long day of tourism or work in LA. The location is excellent, Starbucks, gas station e convenience stores cross the street. Easy and fast drive to good restaurants. The drive to LA is not that bad. The worst traffic we got was around 7:30 am and it was for about 35 minutes to get to downtown.

My experience at Ramada by Wyndham South El Monte was disappointing, to say the least. The room lacked privacy— I could hear every conversation and other noises from the rooms next door, making it impossible to relax. The bathroom was equally frustrating, with a toilet that struggled to flush properly. The outdated microwave seemed like it hadn’t been replaced in 30 years, and the fridge barely kept my food from spoiling, let alone kept my drinks cold. The room itself was dark and uninviting, and with only one working ice machine for the entire hotel, simple conveniences were hard to come by. The saving grace was the friendly staff, who were polite and tried their best, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to overcome the glaring issues with the facility.

The Hotel is OK nothing horrible. I felt safe however it is very dim in the rooms. Two of the lights didn’t work. The bathroom vent system didn’t work. The hot tub was dirty and I had to ask staff for it to be cleaned, however, rooms smelled like cleaning products and staff was really nice. Whenever I had any request or questions.

The heavy plastic cover from the light fixture fell on me while using the toilet. Management changed my room, and did literally nothing else. New room didn’t have working AC. Contacted front desk in the middle of the night only to find out no one is down there overnight… what?! A piece of your building fell on me and I was basically told “tough cookies.” Actually speechless. I genuinely don’t understand how this hotel is mismanaged to this extent. Another review says it feels like a third world country- it honestly kind of does.

This hotel is so rundown and ghetto. No maintenance at all. Elevator jerked. Exterior stucco looks so dirty and spider webs everywhere. The moment you walked in the lobby, you’ll feel like you’re in a third world country. Spa water is grey color. Lavatory has no hot water. Overall experience was horrible and dirty.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was actually a suite with a sofa, chair, table, microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the living room area. Bedroom area had black out drapes and even a remote control for the ac/heater. The living room area and bedroom area each had their own tv's. It was nice and quiet. Staff was nice and friendly.

My worse experience with Ramada. They padlock with chain the pool gate when it's closed. Not a good look. The room was dirty even after I asked them to clean it. During check in, they said if you want your room cleaned to let them know. I did it and they still didn't clean the room. They advertised that their is a gym but apparently the gym have been closed for two years. Their website still advertised a gym. The hotel looks run down.

I stayed there for 3 nights and room services and cleaness to be improved. Had to request at front desk for room cleaning, ideally they should clean the room without requesting daily. There was no big towel at the bathroom and it took almost 30 min for front desk to send someone with towel. Rooms are good and pretty big and refrigrator and microwave is inside the room in working condition which was plus.
