After renting a room with my two young children, I quickly packed my stuff and ran out of there. The front desk clerk is involved with local drug dealers, who use the pool area for free in exchange for drugs (which they bragged about). These people confronted my family at the pool, and after bragging about this informed me that they would be taking possession of my room for the evening, MY ROOM!!! He told me he was just released from prison and that he would be taking over my room. I packed my children up and left, but the front desk clerk, Ameca, would not check me out of the hotel. Rather than assist me, she began throwing insults at me. The drug dealer followed me into the lobby to intimidate and scare me further. I arrived at 2pm and left at 6pm after being chased out, never used the room, but was not allowed to check out. I left anyway, Im sure to the staff's delight bc that was one more room she could sell for drugs. I wanted to be checked out in the hotel's system to show proof of when I left, bc I was made aware of their plans for the room that I paid for, but she refused to check me out or give me a receipt. By the way, the rooms are not fit for human use. The stink of mold and mildew, the duvet looks like it has never been washed ever, and the bathroom door didnt close. I didnt even allow my children to sit on the beds. I tried to make the best ouf of the pool time, but as I previously stated, was chased away by local drug dealers, telling me I was on the wrong side of the tracks, and welcome to the hood. Stay away from this trash. I paid $106 for a couple of hours in the pool, and harassment from drug dealers and drug addict employees...
I didn't take any photos of this tragic 3 day stay because I was disgusted by the lack of cleanliness, smell of marijuana, and moldy odor. During our stay, we saw one cleaning specialist for less than one hour. The ONLY reason we didn't cancel and rebook at a more modern lodging was to be close to family. Ramada, time to step in and make meaningful correction to restore the quality customers deserve. True rating should be ZERO.
It's been a long time since I've had a downright horrible hotel experience. The hotel overall is old, & the rooms are dated. Room 118 has a broken shower. I had to ask to move to another room. The next day, they gave the room to another guest, knowing that the shower remained broken. The side entrance door is broken. Anyone can enter. Unsafe. Unsecure. In Room 116, the bathroom pipes make an annoying drumming sound all day/night. We couldn't rest or relax there. It is impossible to sleep with the banging pipe noise in Room 116. You have to fuss & practically beg to get the room clean, have to ask & retrieve towels urself, & to have ur bed sheets changed, u have to track down housekeeping on ur own. If u are understaffed, HIRE. HIRE. HIRE. If u were thinking about this location, SKIP IT. If I could give half stars or zeros to Ramada by Wyndham Luling, I would. Horrible hotel. Never again.
Room 118 the shower head is broken. Room 116 the pipes make a loud noise like the drummer boy. They will only clean the room and/or change sheets if u complain. I never plan to visit that location again. If u are ever in the area, do urself a favor & look elsewhere. I wish someone had warned me.
The hotel is good enough for my needs. I found it clean. If you want luxury go a few miles east and overpay. I enjoyed my stay and the night auditor yook care of a website hiccup.
Booked here because we wanted to be near family so location was good. People working desk and at facility talk to you if you ask a question so 2 stars. Room had nice palms in courtyard. Pool is dirty, gym has 2 peices of equipment but you have to walk around mold remediation. It definitely NOT Wyndham class, barely a Ramada. Breakfast just say plan to eat out. Coffee cut off at 9AM weird, but I don't make the rules is what was shared. Rust and we think mold in bathroom, so glad this was a short trip. Carpet in hallways have what looks like mold. Some stairwell doors are missing handles. Some of tge door key cards don't work. I won't be back. Not even worth having conversation with onsite as front desk has to remove ear buds to hear you. I just said nevermind and walked away, sometimes not worth the argument or frustration. Strike it up learning experience. As for @Wyndham lol.
Positive: Location from our event we attended in Belle Chasse. Negative: First and foremost, was the mold/mildew on the ceiling in the room....the a/c didn't remove the humidity, everything felt damp. bathtub had mold/mildew and crude in the drain. Can’t believe Wyndham and Ramada allow their names to be put on this dump. The place needs some serious management. Our room was disgusting. Mildew and moisture everywhere. None of the doors leading outside lock when you someone leaves the building do anyone in this sketchy neighborhood can wander in the building unabated. By the way covid is over. They can go ahead and take the masks required signs down.
First time in but will be returning. Our waitress Meridian was amazing. Food was awesome with large portions. You can tell the water was filtered and they know how to pour a beer.
