Hotel is charming, quiet, centrally located. Walking distance to downtown shopping and food, as well as a grocery store. Internet and showers work great. Rooms have basic conveniences and great mattresses. Beautiful view of the harbor and cruise ships. Attached restaurant has full reasonable menu. Museum behind the hotel is fun. Staff is professional, helpful, and friendly.
Excellent Hotel for it’s budget price point. Well located , free parking, updated rooms , friendly staff. Ask for Room # 315 . Great view of the harbour .Make sure you try Tracey’s King Crab Shack , it’s right across street. Downtown is walkable from the hotel but still away from the crowds .
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and were very pleased with the accommodations. Our room was clean, large, and overlooked the water. The bed was comfy and the onsite restaurant was great for breakfast! It was a short walk to the waterfront and shops/restaurants. The price was high but considering the season, location, and quality, we felt the overall value was good. The two pictures were taken off our balcony, very beautiful views!||Would definitely stay here again if we ever travel back to Juneau!
We spent 4 nights in the hotel as part of a multi stop trip to USA. |Check in was easy and staff were helpful. |The room itself was large, clean, but a little dated. We were overlooking the front of the hotel and car park, and would have benefitted from some kind of privacy/net curtain at the window. There was a huge amount of storage space, a fridge and a coffee making facility. |Staff in the kitchen did provide us with milk for a cup of tea. |The rooms were not service daily, but on request. |Toiletries are provided but are of the very small travel variety; not very environmentally friendly and fiddly. |We ate in the restaurant. Service was quick and the portion sizes were huge. |Location was great for downtown Juneau.
Let me be clear: this is not a 5-star hotel. However, for what it is, it deserves a 5- star rating. So what is it?
This hotel is a blend between convenience and value; close enough downtown to walk to anything, but far enough not to be inundated with cruise tourism. The rates are fair, the restaurant is really good, and the breakfast discount is worthwhile.
If here for business, it's perfect; if here for pleasure, it's a good value.
This is our 3rd time staying at the Ramada. Perfect location for walk ability into town for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms were very roomy and comfortable, also quiet and spacious. We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, both of which were very good with excellent wait staff. The owner makes his own ice cream!
You pay for what you get, and what you get is the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in at ANY hotel. The shower head has incredible water pressure I could’ve happily stayed in there for days. The staff is super friendly. If you have to check out well before your flight leaves and you have no where to keep your luggage, they will hold it for you. Honestly a great experience better than I was expecting. Again, I cannot stress enough how comfortable the bed is. Like better than my mattress at home.
I cannot figure out for the life of me why people have bad things to say about this hotel. My experience was wonderful! Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Mostly kind staff. We were going on a hike and they offered us bear spray just in case we needed it. T.K Maguires had delicious food and amazing service. We could easily walk downtown, and the grocery store is literally a 5 min walk. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel. We loved it ❤️
I've booked dozens upon dozens of faceless corporate hotels while traveling for work and it was refreshing to stay somewhere with actual personality and character. Silverbow is incredibly charming and intimate. After a few days I felt at home and was
This hotel always has super friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, nice rooms with kitchenette (washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, coffee-maker) and it's quiet, and comfortable. When we arrived the heat wasn't workin
Taku Lodge was amazing. The staff to the views. I couldn't get over the view of the glaciers. The salmon lunch was fantastic! After lunch, we got to hear all about the previous owners of the lodge. Then on to a nature walk. The whole place is an expe
This shop is real authentic! Small shop but very welcoming. I went to Alaska looking for some buds and The Fireweed Factory delivered! Solid prices for their product. Will definitely come back during my stay.
Nice & easy walking path to get here if you have decent mobility. Not ideal for limited mobility. Great signage. You can't get lost. Saw lots of small wildlife, like mice & birds. Someone reported seeing a bear, but we didn't see it. You can get so c
