Words can't describe the emotions of visiting. We had an incredible tour guide who was amazing. She gave an amazing tour, answered all our questions. A must visit to any and everyone. I am deeply grateful and humbled by my visit. Thank you for the amazing experience, the education...
Highly recommend checking out this museum if in town. Was very informative to understanding the history of civil rights in Savannah and the important figures involved. The best part is how visual all the exhibits are. They really set the tone and make you feel like you are back in that time. I left with a much better understanding of the local civil rights history because of it.
I've never had a museum experience like this, where the docents acted as personal tour guides. It did so much to enhance my learning. The museum is small but provides an unusually immersive experience, which really made vivid the massive weight of Jim Crow era indignities and restrictions. At the same time, while I often felt outraged and disturbed, the exhibit as a whole was moving and inspiring rather than depressing. I had no idea that Savannah had such a proud civil rights history.
After visiting many civil rights museums; this by far was the most informative and the most enjoyable. First we met Mary, who was at the front desk - she was very pleasant and helpful. Our guide was Vaughnette and she was excellent. She kept everyone engaged. We learned so much about the history of Savannah and the history of the civil rights movement. All of the exhibits were exceptional. It felt as if we were back in that time. These two ladies made us feel like family. I am telling everyone to make this a part of their Savannah visit. We left the museum feeling empowered and uplifted. Please put the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum on your must see list. Best time ever‼️
What an amazing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through this museum. Ms Vaughnette took her time going through the museum with us and the history of the Civil Rights History in Savannah. A must see if you are visiting Savannah. They have a free parking lot and it is $10 to enter. They are cashless for the entry fee but you can also leave cash donations. It is worth every penny.
This was an incredible experience. I've been to Savannah twice and had no idea about its Civil rights history. I 100% recommend going. Vaughnette is a wonderful tour guide. Mary was incredibly sweet at the front desk and made checking in very easy. I would definitely do this tour again.
Great experience and guides were informative. Learned some new things about the Civil Rights Movement. The museum exhibits are top notch. A must see while in Savannah. There is free parking on the side of the building labeled "RMG Museum". Brought tickets at the Museum.

I love art museums! This one was in such a lovely setting. I was unfamiliar with the artists but felt like the collection was beautifully selected for the many expressions of the people depicted. It was a good balance of landscape and people. I love
Perfect place for a small wedding ceremony. Reasonable pricing. Sheena was absolutely amazing to work with and so sweet. It would be nice if they had their own chairs that you can pay extra for, which would be my only very small complaint. Definitely
My 9 yr old requested to go visit this museum and SCAD did not disappoint him at all. He was impressed with everything and that he could interact with the displays. Through the eyes of a child this museum gets a 10/10!

Great place to stay. The only thing that could have made our stay better would be a better mattress in our room. You are literally so close to a perfect review, but the mattresses need improvement!
