This was a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it. We went on the sunset tour(6:30), and it was beautiful. We stopped by the river to turn around and it was very relaxing. They say the ride is easy, but I would make sure you have a strong person in the break seat as they are the ones who engage the pedal-assist system. If my boyfriend stopped pedaling for a few moments, I could feel how much harder it was but was not excruciating at all. I would love to try out other locations as well to see different views. The staff was all really nice and attentive.

So much fun! We rented a quad, one person sitting in back was responsible for the brakes, it was easy. Not very physically demanding. Paddle 4 miles out and 4 miles back with a 15 minute break at a lovely spot along the Esopus River. Very scenic!

Came here after seeing tiktok videos. I enjoyed this experience a lot. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Got there very early. Huge FYI, if your scheduled for a 1PM ride, you are really going out at 1:30. I assume this is true for the other times as well. We got there at 12:30 anticipating we needed to get there sooner to check in. Ended up waiting til 1:30 to leave. Which is fine, they had nice seating areas for snacking and we brought food. They also have cornball set up which was nice to pass the time. We checked in with Pat and he was the nicest guy. Checked us in no problem and gave us the rundown on everything. There's a nice little shop in the check in shack with their merch, which is nice quality. Once checked in we waited until our time and they gave a quick safety instructional video while the last party returned and they turned the "bikes". They were also VERY keen on safety and cleanliness. The checked the breaks and lugs multiple times on each bike. They wiped each bike down and off we went. Regardless of how many people you came with (unless booked out entire time) you will share the track with other people. its about 15-20 carts and 2-4 seats each. Each cart is either a 4 seater or 2 seater. 1 person will be the designated to break and this seat is also the one who has the pedal the most. This is because the "electric assist" comes from this seat. lol You leave at the same time and only get about 20-50 feet apart. But that depends if everyone stays that distance. Some people were tailgating while others were so slow they went MIA. You can only go as quick or slow as the people ahead and behind you. Again the pace depends on everyone around you. The whole track was very scenic and calm. The first 1/4 of the track is basically down the way you went in, right by the main road, which is MEH. But then the rest of the way is through the forest right by the river. Very beautiful but a tad bit dull as there isn't much variation to terrain or speeds. It was truly a beautiful view for most of the ride. The whole trip took about 2.5 with 30 min being the "rest" time you get when they reach the end of the track and flip the carts to go back. So the trip to and from are both the same track, you just get flipped. I think if you're interested in like a super family friendly, chill, relaxing day then this is the spot to be. If you need a bit more excitement and adrenaline then this may not be for you. I still had a great time. I would def recommend doing it at least once. They also have other tracks. Overall they have a fantastic operation, great staff, great location. Def recommend at least once. Would probably come back and bring my parents. This is easy enough they can handle.

We had a great time, it was well organized a little bit of a workout for two seniors, but we had so much fun. The scenery was breathtaking.

Great fun experience. 4.5 stars because the route runs next to a road for for nearly half its length and the price for a family of 4 booked a week in advance was $175. Seats move forward and backwards so our 6 year old could just reach the pedals. You pedal 2 or 4 person rail bikes and are set individually. You attach all the rail bikes together to cross over a road at a level crossing, and then at the end of the run they turn the rail bikes around on a mini turn table and you head back this time with some battery assist.

Overall great experience! Went on the sunset tour. Even though we didn’t get to see the actual sun set. It was good to have the experience to ride the rail bike at night and during the day. We did have to bike across a main road but the staff gave us clear instructions. And the rail road signs came down for cars to stop. Staff also stood at main roads giving us the ok to cross. Below are things i wish i knew prior to taking the “sunset tour.” -it gets chilly, definitely wear long pants and sweater. -bug/tick spray is nice to have. They do sell at the store there -bring snacks and water -it’s about 2 hours 8 miles. They spend about 20 mins at the end of 4 miles to turn the bike around -make sure you use the bathroom prior to getting on the bike, there is no place to use the bathroom while you wait for them to turn the bikes around Improvements-the male restroom did not have running water the day i went. the staff didn’t seem to care or provide a solution besides hand sanitizer. (Reason for 4 stars) Heads up- not really first date activity if your intention is to have conversations. Bike can be a bit loud.

Nice place. We hadn't experienced anything remotely similar. You have to credit the Americans for converting an abandoned railroad into a tourist attraction. A four seater pedaling railway car and traveling in a group on a railway track through the woods was a unique experience. On the flip side quite a few of us were stung by wasps during the trip and in spite of the first aid provided on the stops it pained for almost 6-8 hours. I don't know whether it is possible to avoid this by using some sort of repellent in advance but there was no such advisory. Maybe repellents don't work on wasps. It is quite costly though and I don't think one should attempt to visit without a prior booking but I have no idea about the crowd on weekdays.

Went here with my wife on the last day of the season. The views were breathtaking from end to end. We both enjoyed it very much.

In a nutshell : we found "our place" in The Catskills. My boyfriend and I loved the owners Jennifer and Maureen (and George and June the doggy greeting committee) who were all very welcoming and accommodating. They always have something freshly baked

Only good things to say about this place! The staff is warm and welcoming. The pancakes were some of the best I’ve had. They’re pretty filling too. They offer a side of 3 pancakes for $8 instead of 5 pancakes for $15, I’d recommend that. Breakf

Stopped in after a snowboarding day at Plattekill Mountain. We enjoyed ourselves but felt rushed when we were having desert. Waiters and bartenders need to understand that we are paying their bills. Their job is to wait, not rush us out.. or we won't
