I'll start by saying, yes, we had a great experience at the Radisson...well, great, if you ignore the fact that we just barely missed our flight to India because of weather at takeoff from Charlotte. And, the fact that the American agents with whom I spoke seemed mostly pretty hopeless about getting us onto a decent alternative flight. Some, one in particular, was downright nasty...and I spent much of the morning trying to get things worked out...which finally did happen when I finally got to the "right" agent. So, I was a bit distracted. We had scrambled to get a hotel. New York is ridiculously expensive. This one looked as "reasonably" priced as any. But compared to other cities, this one is probably too expensive for what you actually get. Other than than, we slept well. They were pretty good about letting us stay on longer for our evening departure back to the airport (an extra $100 got us permission to stay until 4:00). They did provide free shuttle service to the airport. The breakfast buffet here would have been an additional $26 each. We did much better by walking to a cafe that was about 12 minutes (by foot) away.
The standard of the hotel is not as depicted in pics. Some sections of the property were under repair, I booked through stayforlong. ||Information about your booking: SH19787137.. booking reference.||I was traveling to the Caribbean but wanted to see a few family members and allowed the kids to enjoy some American delights. |Hotel doors were poorly secured and there were several individuals walking in the corridor and loitering outside, it was more so a hostel. It appears to be hosting refugees. |I was told I needed to pay a security deposit for the room and this would have been refunded upon check out. It has been going close to three weeks without my refund. I have called on numerous occasions and was informed I needed to contact the accounts department Mon to Fri however phone goes to voicemail. |I would not recommend this hotel/hostel/holding facility. ||Cleaning was poor, there was hair all over the bed, on the floor and in the shower.||Thankfully I only stayed for one night.
I had a fantastic check-in experience at the hotel, thanks to Dwayne. He greeted me with a warm smile and was incredibly attentive throughout the process. His positive energy and presence made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Dwayne truly set the tone for a great stay. Highly recommend!
The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty clean aside from a few stains on the bed. The service was not exactly top notch either. You get two bottles of water and that is it for the entire day unless you pay, it says breakfast included but the breakfast is also for money. Had a slightly hard time trying to get our second room. Overall, would recommend finding a better hotel nearby if you can but if it’s last resort then you aren’t going to exactly suffer here either
Incredible experience at this hotel.
Dewayne went above and beyond to help me. I ended up at Radisson by mistake. I was supposed to be at Hampton up the block. Dewayne contacted the other hotel and scheduled their shuttle to pick me up. He waited with me and helped me to the shuttle.
This is what customer service is all about. Exceptional employee. Great job!!!
I had a very pleasant stay. The staff were really helpful and courteous. Especially Jasmine During our check in she made the process so easy from when we walked in the lobby , she welcomed us with a warm smile .she told us how to get around the area and even the city . Which was extremely helpful . Best hospitality I received so far The location of the hotel is great and close to everything. Regards.

A late arrival turned into a great check in experience. I was able to get into a nice clean room on a high floor, just as I requested.
Dewayne at the front desk was awesome and very personable. Shazeeda was kind and helpful as well.
They gave me precise information on local transportation. Great stay overall. 10/10
I live down the street from this hotel and I can tell you why they have such high reviews. The reason you don’t smell weed is because they sit on our properties between their “residence” and the store down the block and smoke. They sit on our properties, drop their garbage on their lawns, beg for money and some even trespass and steal packages. This was never an issue before but now it’s getting worse. The hotel/shelter needs to do better in managing its “tenants”.
