The staff were superb. Welcoming and attentive to every detail. Very knowledgeable about the cuisine. Very accommodating about our special requests. The chef/owner came out to check on us. That is always a sign of a great restaurant. The food was superb and elegantly presented. Portions were small for too hungry beachgoers at the end of the day. So order extra naan. They have an additional extensive vegan and vegetarian menu. So it is worth asking to look at that as well.
Updating - after a visit with the owner and chef I would give it a zero if I could - read additional comments at the end. This was one of the WORST meals we have had in a while. The Red Curry was basically an amateur chef’s attempt at throwing in lots of mirchi (chili powder) in a watery mess. The cauliflower dish was not well cooked and the sauce was neither tasty nor had any Indian flavor palette. And to top it all off the entrees were over 30 dollars each. The Samosas were only passable - the dough for it too thick but flavor ok but not worth $18 dollars. I don’t have a clue how this place is ranked a 4.4 - save your money and your tastebuds!! After we complained about how bad the food was and asked to see the owner and chef he came and was friendly. But rather than heat our criticism he launched into his extensive resume and then tried to tell us what the dish was supposed to be like. The only problem was the dishes were NOT prepared the way he said they should be. There was no coconut milk in the putative red curry and nor was the cauliflower marinated in yogurt. Moreover he goes on to tell us we were wrong and he himself put the dishes out. That’s a class act - tell your customers they are wrong. How about - hey perhaps I messed up on that tonight - how can I make it right? The entire time he kept talking to my Italian wife - with his back to me. Super patronizing and not at all a useful conversation. I would give this zero starts if I could. We would never recommend this to anyone and would not ever go back here.
I had the most wonderful experience at Raas! The service was fabulous, attentive and well informed. I loved being able to watch our smiling chefs preparing the food. Each dish was prepared perfectly and had a depth of flavor I had not experienced prior to this. Best Indian/pan Asian food I have ever tasted. Can’t wait to go back!
Such a beautiful and bright atmosphere with servers that care and give special attention. The menu was creative with great options and the food was superb. Especially the Nan which was thinner, crispy almost and delectable. Best Ive ever had. And the Chef Gupta visited us to inquire about the food and he is so wonderful. A great experience. Highly recommend.
What an incredible meal. So flavorful, creative, delectable, we finished every bite! Recommend the chili cheese naan, paneer tikka masala, and spinach chat. Oh! And if you are getting dessert. The bread pudding. Note that it is teensy but delicious and not your typical bread pudding. Sooo good 😊
What a beautiful restaurant. The staff were so friendly, and the owner even came over to our table and helped to accommodate my extra spicy request! The good was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to come back for a visit.
Not your typical Indian restaurant. The menu is focused (not a hundred items) and there’s definitely some pan Asian items on there. You should have your expectations set on cost: everything is expensive. Ask what the market price of that 3.5lb Branzino is so you don’t have sticker shock when the check comes. Hint, it’s more than a tomahawk. This restaurant is more of an elevated, fine dining type of place and it’s priced accordingly. For example (beyond the $130 fish, which was amazing with the garlic lemon coriander sauce) butter chicken is $32 and I wouldn’t say it was “special” vs something you would get for half the price at a typical restaurant. Rice to go? $6. Thai green curry with lamb which packs a punch $34. $20 for 3 beef samosas which were on par with what you would normally get for $12-15 elsewhere. Daughter enjoyed her salmon curry ($36) and we enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms ($16 for 3pcs, each of which were like a little mushroom macron with cheese in the middle of two mushroom) and bacon wrapped plantains($18 for 3). Garlic naan was delicious and we saw them make it in the tandoor oven right in front of us. Deserts are all made in house. The mango ice cream ($12 for two scoops) was good We enjoyed to food, and our server David was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and very caring and helpful when our daughter had a nose bleed. David makes what would be a 3 star rating due to cost/value a 4 star rating. Address the cost or wow me on a $32 butter chicken and this is a 5 star shop. It’s good but just set price expectations. This is the most expensive place in lewes/rehoboth we’ve been to and we’ve been almost everywhere. If you’re looking for typical Indian menu and prices, this is not going to be the place for you. If you’re looking for elevated fine dining then stop in.
Super fabulous place. Lauren, Wayne and Jason were super nice to my husband and I. For all we ordered it was very reasonable. We are looking forward on coming back! I really appreciate it that they had gluten-free bread along. With the fact they were able to accommodate my garlic allergy. Highly recommend for a lovely occasion.
Live this place. So much energy! Volunteers show you around and transport you back two hundred+ years. There's a school house, a doctor's office and many other buildings representing life from the 1800s. First Friday of the month is always happy hour
Loved it here! Very laid back. Pretty much had the beach to myself. The beach was clean. You can get a pass for all day and you can drive into Rehoboth to get food, souvenirs, etc. just show them your beach pass when you drive back.
First want to say shout out to ZACH! He is the nicest most professional guy and made our stay even better. Waking up and going down to breakfast to someone greeting you and happy to help you made the stay even better. There was also a older gentleman
This spectacular boat (w/tours) sits in a park with a playground, tennis courts & BB court. A beautiful way to spend a few hours & follow the signs that tell the story of our mighty ship ð¢. All a Block from the center of town.
Amazing place to visit fire a real look at history here back during WW2. They have a 16" gun from the Mighty Mo there. My grandpa served on that ship during the Japanese surrender. To think he once looked at the very same gun when he was a kid in the
The loveliest low key cafe with truly excellent food. Get the Mediterranean platter and soup of the day! Kids menu is perfection - grilled cheese melted and pressed to gooey goodness, thickly sliced bread with drippy jam PB&J. Compliments do the kitc
Waterfront park with tennis courts, basketball, playground, green space, rain garden, board games, gazebo, fishing from the pier, etc. The Overfalls, a Light Ship Boat is docked there too. The tour of the boat is fun. This is a wonderful green space
