R Bar & Royal Street Inn - Hotel in New Orleans - 1431 Royal St, USA

My daughter and I stayed at the Royal Street Inn. We loved it. The room was so quaint and up to date. The manager was awesome. We were near the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and the French Market. But, couldn’t hear a thing at night. We would stay again. If you are a couple , friends, this place won’t disappoint.

We visit New Orleans at least once a year and like to try different hotels, but be in a certain area of the French quarter/Marigny. We’ve been wanting to try the Royal Street Inn for a while and finally booked it for this most recent trip over Easter weekend. R Bar has long been one of my favorite places to hang out for some drinks, and the location is perfect for a quick walk to the French Quarter and visiting all the good spots on Frenchmen Street. ||We stayed in the Mississippi suite on the second floor, which had access to an awesome balcony where we sat and had drinks to watch the April Fools Day Parade, always a reason to party in Nola! ||Check-in was very easy in the bar and they helped us with our bags up to the room. And they give you tokens for two free drinks, bonus! Check out was equally as easy and they were very accommodating being able to hold our bags for the 4+ hours between check out and needing to leave for the airport.||The room itself was spacious with a separate seating area and it had a really great coffee machine. My only negative comments about the room was a lack of storage, there were no drawers or a dresser to put anything in and there was a lack of shelves in the bathroom. I also tend to need to work when I’m on vacation so for me, it was hard to not have a little table or desk area where I could work on my laptop. But those were minimal inconveniences and not enough for me to not consider a return stay, we peaked into the largest suite across the hall from us and it was massive with a large seating area, so I will just have to book that room the next time!||If you’re looking for Luxe rooms and spa services, this wouldn’t be the place for you. But overall, with R Bar downstairs and the location, the place had a really great vibe and I would definitely recommend it for a fun stay in that area of the FQ/Marigny.

Nice folks have a good time here. A great punk rock bar, which I presume could double as a rock and roll bar or metal bar, based on who's bartending but I've only been once. I plan to correct that on my next trip to New Orleans.

Stopped in while walking around and exploring New Orleans. This bar is a great find!!! Loved the vibe of a neighborhood bar that has great drinks and even better service. Leanne was our bartender and she was personable, friendly, attentive, and shared in plenty of laughs while we sat at the bar. Definitely coming back the next time we’re in NO!!!

Don't know anything about the hotel. The R Bar was a great place to watch the saints game. Outside looks like the NCIS New Orleans show, inside much different. I like the vibe, the area is slightly more sketch than near Jefferson Park. Oh, good AC too! BTW: Get the frozen pineapple mojito.

If you're considering booking here, stop thinking and just do it! Everything at Royal Street Inn is top-notch, from the warm, accommodating customer service to the impeccable decor and fantastic location. The staff here is so nice I just can't get over it... We have stayed at many different hotels in New Orleans, but Royal Street is it for us. I can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the royal suite because we won a raffle they donated to trampled rose animal rescue ! Wish we could stay longer we loved our balcony, the amazing bath and beds and all the gorgeous details.we are locals and already had enjoyed the bar but were amazing by the hotel and ease of check in. NOT accessible but we managed to get our bicycles up the stairway 😂

Went here last week as we walked towards Frenchmen Street area. Absolutely wonderful staff and vibe. Enjoyed all the dogs in the bar. Very much recommended.
