Fished out of frankfort this place is close to ramp. Rooms are small but clean owner definitely takes pride in his business. They also have a gas grill that can be used to cook out and has a freezer outside and sells 8lbs bag of ice for $1.00 will definitely be staying there if I ever go back to fish
Absolutely a fantastic place to stay. This motel is such a cute little hidden gem in the Frankfort area. The rooms are the perfect size for our visits. I love the cute little garden area they have. It’s so peaceful to sit out there early in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee and then go for a beautiful morning walk. The rooms are always extremely clean and well maintained. All the other accommodations are amazing as well. Norma, Michael and the rest of the family that owns / runs this motel are some of the kindest people you will ever meet; always friendly. They are very welcoming and they make every stay here enjoyable. Our family use to own a home up here, but sold it right before Covid in 2019. So for the last 4 years, we’ve been staying here at the R&R Motel when we visit Frankfort. The stay here it’s always an absolute pleasure. I will continue to recommend this place to anybody that is interested in staying in the Frankfort area. It is in the absolute perfect location. It’s right on the outskirts of downtown so you can enjoy the peace and quiet, but still walk to the downtown area and have quick access to everything. Location is literally in the perfect place. Places like this are kind of rare these days. Definitely a beautiful gem in the Frankfort area. Please give them a chance and stay here. It will definitely be worth it. Every time I stay here I feel like they treat me like family. Every year they remember me and my fiancée, and they always have wonderful conversations with me. We will be staying again this year in the next two weeks starting 08/20/2023. We will be spending 11 days up in Frankfort and we will be staying every night at the R&R Motel. Thank you again for contributing to amazing memories and providing us a wonderful place to stay when we visit Frankfort. God bless and have a wonderful day!
Decent hotel to spend the night at. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very small shower. The owner was very informative and friendly.
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Probably among the best for a small, non-chain stay. Very clean, very convenient. Directly across from the motel on M-22 is a paved biking/walking trail that is great for the one mile stroll into town. Benches along the way and less than ten minutes to a waterfront park where you can rest and enjoy the marina and harbor view. Would definitely go back.
Just left this morning. Was my first time to the area. Upon check in we had the privledge of meeting the owner, very pleasant and accommodating gentleman. Offered area information which was greatly appreciated. Checked out our room before we ventured out and it was pretty basic. On entering the aroma of clean, clean, clean hit us. I could tell instantly we were going to have a great stay! 👍 As stated earlier our room was pretty basic but served it's purpose. Room was very clean, bike rack to use, access to a outdoor grill! I told my bf to save the hotel information in his phone as we both want to come back! I would recommend R and R to anyone.
Such a clean, lovely stay! Our bed was a bit hard but no complaints outside of that. Would stay again and recommend. Lovely little sitting area outside too.
This is my first stay @ RR and I am very pleased. I have stayed at probably every hotel in the Frankfort area and this hotel is BY FAR THE CLEANEST PLACE I have ever stayed. I mean not even a mark on the baseboards in the bathroom. IMPRESSIVE!!! This will definitely be my go-to place in the future. My only "complaint" would be the comfort of the bed but I know there is really no place like "home" but the cleanliness is what sold it for me.
I've been to the R&R for several years running during the Fourth of July holiday, and have never had what I'd consider a noteworthy experience. However, after my recent stay I feel it completely necessary to make note of R&R, so as to warn others to beware. Frankfort is a beautiful town with a lot to offer, and being on vacation with family is (almost) always fun, but the R&R certainly didn't contribute to the benefit of our experience. The rooms are tiny, the beds hard as rock slabs; the AC units are uncomfortably intense at even the lowest setting; the sink in our bathroom was so clogged it hardly worked; the bathroom was infested with ants; the list of negatives goes on. Due to the cheap rooms and good location, however, we've continued to stay here for at least the past 4 years. In this time, none of the above issues I mentioned have improved in the slightest. We certainly won't be back another year.
I brought my dog here to see the sunset and loved it! Small parking area, but there were only a few people, so I didn't have a problem getting a spot. You can walk the beach a long way. Will definitely come again!
This place was great. Small, quaint, with delicious food and wonderful relaxing atmosphere. We drove nearly an hour to try it out. We had steak and scallop. They were prepared to perfection and topped it off with Carrot Cake. The drink menu was good
As someone with an egg allergy, I love it when I stumble upon a place that takes it seriously. Delicious food and coffee! Oat, soy and coconut milk options too! Great service from the very friendly staff - weâll definitely be back when we come to
Loved our stay! Sites were clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were incredibly clean. Loved having wood and ice available at any time! Staff was fantastic and so helpful with recommendations. The camp store has lots of merch but just a few campi
My wife and I stopped into Stormcloud for lunch on our way back from Traverse City. This was our first time here and the food was impressive! Wait staff was really friendly and enjoyable! We started with a beer flight to get an idea of what their bee
BBQ chicken pizza is wonderful but their cheese bread is to die for!! Prices were very reasonable ($27 for pizza and breadsticks) and it was ready so fast! We ordered carry out and took it down to the beach to eat (within walking distance). Will be r
