Quest Diagnostics - Medical laboratory in Port Charlotte - 2484 Caring Way Unit E, USA

I had a 730am appointment on Tuesday July 9th for blood work and when I arrived there was No one at the front desk. I signed in as instructed and the sign in system is not easy even for someone that works on computers. Alittle customer service would have been great. Then Wednesday later I received my results. My wife is a nurse practitioner so she totally understands blood work. We went straight into panic mode calling my doctor and finding out how my blood work was so bad. Well fast forward 2 days and I get a call from the manager of that office saying he needed more Blood. I said why? To be honest it was hard for him to explain. There was no professional explanation, and he basically said " WE NEED MORE BLOOD" THEY MIXED UP SOMETHING AND PUT MY NAME ON SOMEONE ELSE'S BLOODWORK. SO I WAS READING SOMEONE ELSE'S RESULTS THINKING I WAS BORDERLINE DIABETIC He told me to call my doctor and order more labs. I said I would like to speak to someone from corporate and he tried to tell me his office would handle it. I told him there was no way I was ever going back to this office again. This was 100 percent unacceptable so I filed a case with corporate. I went through 2 full days of stress thinking I was a pre Diabetic and immediately changed my diet. This office in my opinion is understaffed and definitely not up to standards. The paint was chipping off the wall in the room which is gross especially for a medical facility where they are handling blood. How does a company like Quest that made over 9 billion dollars in revenue last year have offices that are understaffed with paint chipping off the walls?

I always enjoy coming here for blood work. My son has allergies and every 6 months or so we have to get blood work. It's a small office and all the phlebotomist are great. Melissa and Daniel are great with kids and do a great job. Highly recommend coming here.

My 13yo daughter is terrified to get her blood drawn. We've tried at two other locations before we went to Quest on Caring Way this morning, and she's watched her sister and mom get blood drawn. Paula and Josh were so amazingly encouraging and patient with my daughter. They walked her slowly through the process, explaining and examining her veins gently and carefully. One two steps forward, one step back, they built trust and showed great compassion an they got her to relax her arms and let them prepare. We were not able to complete the task, but Paula's and Josh's graciousness and encouragement set the stage for future success. From the bottom of a struggling momma's heart, thank you!

Staff is courteous and trained. You need to schedule an appointment prior online so that makes it seamless. However, I feel Elderly need assistance at times. Due to the kiosks or self-checkin stands installed, there’s no one to attend queries at reception for a drop-off even. Perhaps this can be looked into.

This Quest office in Port Charlotte is really efficient. I book online and have never had to wait past my appointment time. Techs are courteous, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend getting your labs here if you are looking for a professional organization.

The website to try to make an appointment is deplorable. It gets you up to number three and then it wants you to start over not easy to navigate at all. Guess I’ll have to call them and hope I can get through and make an appointment and then I will write them. I have always had nothing but the best treatment there several times, hopefully this continues! Thank you

The staff is efficient and the appointment systems works great. Melissa was very personable and efficient. She put me at ease and had my bloodwork done in no time.
