Queens Inn by the River - Inn in Oakhurst - 41139 CA-41, USA

I am very meticulous, spent inordinate amount of time selecting this hotel prior to booking. It did not disappoint, exceeded expectations. The entire experience of this stay was exceptional. Room was very spacious, clean. bright, well appointed, every detail of essential amenity provided. Bed was very comfortable and conforming slept deep in complete peace. My favorite aspect of this hotel is location. It is set back from the road to have best of all worlds. Backing up to the river was the greatest to wake up to! In the morning heading to Yosemite the highway was conveniently accessible from up the long driveway. I loved having wine bar/restaurant on site although need to return to have a relaxing sit down dinner. One of the better restaurants in the area linked to this hotel. This hotel was just a perfect accompaniment to visiting majestic Yosemite. Loved it so much plan on flipping back next week. Steve and Jamie (Managers) both are highly competent, diligent, professional individuals. A hotel stay as magnificent as Yosemite, plan on flipping back ASAP before the snow starts.

We had plenty of room in our room but what made this location are the grounds. It' like staying in a small park. Lots of trees and the river made for a relaxing stay. My wife loves to record and identify birds and Queen's Inn outdoor area was perfect for that. Staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed the one night and I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy their outdoor areas.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff was welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and super friendly. We loved staying in the cabin which made it a more unique and outdoor experience, with all the comforts you would need. The restaurant on site is absolutely superb and delicious, and the wine bar, is very cozy and cute, which is just above the river. It was a truly unique and lovely stay and we would love to come back one day.

Amazing place, superb service, great location. It was cheaper to book through another booking website. Very happy with the room, the location, the back garden and river area were so serene. Everyone we encountered were so helpful and kind, even when we had an issue with the fireplace. The food and wine were very good, I will come back here.

Staying at the Queen's Inn was the perfect place for a nostalgia tour of our former hometown. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the private porch. Each evening we sat there watching the day fade and the stars come out. So quiet and dark. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Idle Hour kitchen, eclectic food, wine and friendly service. We felt like family. It was a delight to find such a welcoming place. |

Edit: this place is a joke. It's comical that they're saying communication on our side would've helped. SAME, we're not mind readers! Also, if you don't have a river view during certain seasons, don't charge as much for it then! And, our room was dirty upon ENTRY, not after we were there to bring our own dirt. Idiots. This stay left a lot to be desired for, because of the ratings I expected better. We paid for a river view, but they forgot the river. Whoever cleans is not doing their job, the floor was filthy, cobwebs in the bathroom corners, the jetted tub was dirty too. There's also no phone in the room, so if you need something I guess you're just supposed to go wondering the grounds till you find someone.. the office has random times, even though their open sign is up, no one will be in the office. I had to give our key to the cleaning guy. The bed for adult time was SQUEAKY! There's no getting around what you're doing on that thing. Parking sucks if you have anything bigger than a fiat. They have a nice little u bend where the rooms are and parking spots right in front, those should be for the hotel guests, but they're not! It's general parking all over, so our truck got stuck in that little lot because of their live music on the weekends.. which you have to pay to get into. People park both ways all along the narrow street, blocking everyone from getting in or out. I was also told in an email that we would get 2 complimentary wine tastings, of course we didn't. After seeing the area for myself, we won't be staying at this place again, especially not for what you get for the price. **The Hotels app wouldn't let me add pictures, so I came here to post as well.**

Very charming and laid-back inn. The service was great and was prompt. Our room had plenty of room, and the king-size bed was very comfortable. The room had a back door with a small deck with a table and two chairs that overlooked the stream.

Great place to stay! Quite and a little ways back from the road. Lots of thoughtful details & amenities. Stays include a wine tasting at the on-site winery. Definitely go to Idle Hour the restaurant the is next door as well. Would 100% recommend staying here. Nice to come back & relax after a day of hiking in Yosemite. Only downside is that the wifi is mostly in the common areas.
