Quarter House - Indoor lodging in New Orleans - 129 Chartres St, USA

I loved this location, I would get a room again. Aside from a small mystery guest that visited during the night, our stay was perfect. The desk staff was awesome and was very helpful. They offered to move us rooms, but we were ok as it wasn't a huge bother and for someone who has had to deal with guests, I know there is not much to be done sometimes. I still highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back in the future. The location is perfect and within walking distance of so many things. I also enjoyed the breakfast they provided on Sunday and the wine and cheese event during the week.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Quarter House! The staff were welcoming and kind. I stayed in a one bedroom, one bath suite that was clean and very comfortable! The cherry on top is the location!! Super close to everything, yet far enough to have a nice break!

First the good. The location is excellent, walking distance to Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and many attractions and restaurants. The hotel is very charming old New Orleans, the beds are comfortable, and the suites include a kitchen. The staff are amazing! Very helpful and accommodating.||The bad isn't all that bad. The rooms are small with the tiniest bathroom we have ever seen, and low water pressure. They have a pool, but it is very small. There is no parking next to the hotel, you need to go a few blocks and park at the Wyndham. Parking costs $38 / day. However, once we were there we walked everywhere and didn't even get our car until we were ready to leave.||Now for the OMG. The last night we were there, we were asleep about 1:00 a.m. I felt something on my head only to discover a rodent (large mouse? or rat?). The rodent ran across my head, sat in the window for a few moments, and then ran to the kitchen and rummaged through the garbage. So much for sleeping the rest of the night, and we left as soon as possible the next day. We mentioned this incident to the desk clerk and she was visibly horrified.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Quarter House. The suite was quite clean and nicely arranged. The bedroom was away from the kitchen, so I didn't hear my hubby making his coffee in the morning as I slept in longer than he. Staff were friendly. It is perfect for walking to so many places of interest. We slept well and would absolutely stay again. We had no view from our suite, but we were out and about all day everyday. We sat in the Court yard a couple of times. Great place!

Nous avons passé un séjour excellent au Quarter House, dans une chambre qui ressemblait à un petit appartement, ce qui permet si besoin de prendre un petit-déjeuner ou un repas (il n'y a pas de restauration dans l'hôtel). Un grand merci à Lawrence à l'accueil pour son aide précieuse pour résoudre nos aventures de bagages et réserver nos taxis, ça a été un plaisir et un grand confort de l'avoir pour interlocuteur. Tout est faisable à pied depuis l'hôtel et l'ambiance y est excellente. On le recommande chaudement.

We stayed here a year ago in the same room, 430A, literally same maintenance issues. Vanity sink doesn't drain & torn bed skirt. We told them this a year ago. Must be the RCI exchange crappy room. Very dark unit (need lights during day & no windows in bedroom). Units seems very outdated. Hallways are old needing paint and with random stairs to maneuver housekeeping puts ramps up that completely block the stairs and they are up all hours of the day. Having stayed here twice with the same issues we'd probably pick another location with our timeshare points. Plus if you stay for less than a week you might have to move rooms (and be out at 10am). We were told that and got up and packed bags only to be told we wouldn't be moving. Very inconvenient & not what you want to do during a vacation.

Had an amazing time here. Beautiful rooms and nice swimming, but what most stood out was the exceptionally friendly service. The receptionist, Holden, was the highlight of my time here in New Orleans. His customer service and friendly smile was welcoming and inviting. It felt like coming home each time I entered the hotel while he was behind the reception!

Excellent location near Canal and Bourbon Street. Close to Acme Oyster House. Can walk to any store from souvenirs to Walgreens. Rooms were cozy and nicely decorated with lots of space. Reserved the penthouse but was given 2 separate rooms on floor 3 & 5 for our group of 8. Parking is nearby at Wyndham for $38. One room was ready by 10am which was great as we just got off the cruise ship and wanted to store our luggage.
