Quality Suites Wildwood - The Villages - Hotel in Wildwood - 271 FL-44, USA

Booked this room on our way home to SWFL from TN. The area was a bit sketchy and the room was not very clean. As soon as we entered our room we were hit with the foul smell of urine. We booked a two queen room but the beds were definitely not queens. The grout around the bottom of the toilet was filthy and I’m pretty sure that is where the smell was coming from. The walls were dirty and definitely need to be wiped down. There was also blue stains all over the bathtub not sure what that was but possibly hair dye? We also booked a non-smoking room but there was a cigarette burn on the chair in living area and on the desk. We shut the bathroom door to try and hide the stench then stuck it out and stayed since it was just for the night and we were tired. We left early next morning and will not return.

I'm leaving this review because I think they deserve more than 3.6 stars. Bed decent but most importantly clean. Room up to date and clean. No bugs. Great place to stay.

Was surprised by the cleanliness of these rooms. Nice big suite with lots of space. They seemed to be in process of updating. The only thing lacking was some lamps in the living room and bed room. Nice and spacious for a family. We had two queen bed and pull out sofa. Front needed updating to Choice quality. Our rooms was quite even though some one on the balcony above was very loud as we were going in never heard them once we closed out door. Will stay there again when in the area even though it is several miles from them Villages where the rooms are really overpriced. Have stayed in Villages several times so we know the pricing. Direction not good for our GPS from Villages over there but put in and address from main street Wildewood to the IHOP next door and that worked.

Room was clean and minimalistic. Had vinyl flooring. we had a first floor room. I would recommend requesting 2nd floor room, as we could hear the people upstairs walking throughout the night and morning, otherwise quiet experienc. I inspected the mattress under the sheets. Pillows, sheets, and mattress were clean, stainfree, odorless, comfortable. No signs of mold, mildew, dust bunnies, bedbugs or other critters. Lots of space. couch was uncomfortable. Plenty of desk top space but no chair. Two doors and outside door and interior door. Interior door had security cameras in hall and the typical hotel door lock system. Exterior entrance had creepy motel vibe, as I was a female traveler. Door had a deadbolt but no additional security features. My daughter created her own DIY system, see photos. Otherwise experience was pleasant, For a drive-through overnight stay. and no problems otherwise IHOP next-door provided good food and service. Hotel staff was friendly.

Stayed there last week pretty terrifying. I must say it has 2 inches a lot of roaches it used to be red roof when I came in. The guy said they just bought it but I just read the review from months ago when the guy said they just bought it so I don’t know, what is their understanding of just bought it however, all outlets completely hanging off the walls amount of roaches was overwhelming. I was really scared and had to sanitize everything I touched. Do not recommend staying there if you have kids if you were just a single adult and you go in there and leave without bringing in luggage shirt great place but families with kids please stay away.

Room 136 the interior door doesn't shut completely and the deadbolt doesn't lock. I can pull the door open without using the handle. When I called the front desk their only option was to refund me or put me up at the roach motel 6 next door. They claimed to not have any open rooms as they were sold out. Except no way were they sold out as the place was dead. Now I have stayed here 3 weeks ago without an issue. My concern is why wouldn't you move a guest to a secure room? The guy at the front was a complete jerk. He was more concerned about watching his movie on his laptop that helping a single lady with a security risk. I am a loyal CH member and choose to stay at CH hotels wherever I travel and this was completely unacceptable and a huge risk. And please remove the towels that have foot prints embedded in them for brand new ones don't keep them in supply.

Nice place. Go on their website to book, it's cheaper. The room was surprisingly big and really nice. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast with yogurt, clementines, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, OJ , and waffles from waffle maker. Would definitely stay here again.

I will not lie, I was a little concerned when we pulled in. The sign says it was once a Red Roof but they had vinyl Quality Inn Signs over the Red Roof sign. Choice hotels just took possession about one month ago. The lobby was very small and bare. The guy in front of me was having trouble with his booking that he made prior to the switch. They didn't have him a room. I got checked in without a problem. One guy came up to the desk and requested a refund. My concern increased. We were given room 126. We got into our room and I was very happy. The roo. Looked like it had been recently redone. The suite had a living room with a sofa and chair and television. A bathroom, an office / desk/ eating area and a bedroom. The entire suite was about 700-800 square foot. Everything seemed clean, there was no funky smells. I was pleased. I haven't tried sleeping yet and the breakfadt area looked very small but over all I am pleased at this time.
