Quality Suites St. Joseph - Featured Reviews (800)
Stayed Sept. 7,2024 Room had an ammonia type smell sort of like cat piss. It was faint but noticeable. There was a black looking mold on the wall under the sink. The beds appeared clean and were quite comfortable. The redeeming quality was the amazing shower. We were in room 206.
1. The pics when you search and see the hotel on Google Maps -- are not true representation of the hotel. Pool is most definitely closed. Definitely not that nice inside the hotel itself.
2. The carpet everywhere was stained and crunchy (best way to describe it).
3. Peeling wallpaper.
4. The chair in the room -- eww.
5. I understand that marijuana is legal in most states -- however I am pretty sure I got a contact high from walking in the hallway to the room.
6. The AC was cold, but man the unit was loud.
7. The bed was clean -- because I thoroughly checked.
8. The bathroom was clean as were the towels.
9. The water was hot for a shower.
10. Didn't want to chance breakfast or using the ice machine.
11. It's now on the "we won't stay here again" list.
If I could leave a 0/5 on this I would. I arrived at the hotel around 10:30 pm was looking forward to resting and got to the room. I always check that the beds are clean and the bathroom. There was hair in and around the bathtub. The top of the one bed had a stain on it. But the worst part was when I pulled back the covers on the one bed you could tell it had not been cleaned and there was feces on the sheets. I was in the room less than 5 minutes I went to the front desk and was told he couldn’t do a refund for me. He didn’t have the numbers to do that in The computer. I asked for the managers info and was told he couldn’t give personal information. I said I just need his name and the number to reach him at. He wrote his name on a room card sleeve. He told me Tony was the manager and would be in the morning to inspect the room. I called Saturday morning to speak to Tony and couldn’t get anybody to answer me and then finally at noon. I called again and got someone and they said that Tony wasn’t there that I would have to call back Monday and that they would go up and inspect the room and I said well it’s 12 o’clock. I’m sure housekeeping has already cleaned it. I took photos of the bed though and he just told me to call Monday. I continue to try and ask him questions and he said I have to go and hung up on me. Fast forward to Monday and I just got off the phone with supposedly Tony and I asked about the refund and was told my choice was either leave or stay in the room and I said I was told I could get a refund and they said we don’t refund money either stay in the room or you leave and I said I will get my money back and I did through my credit card company. This was horrible customer service and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed out in a long time. We booked a room that was supposed to have two double beds, when we checked in we were told we were in room with just one king bed. This was my best friend's birthday weekend so we did not want to have to sleep in the same bed but we were forced to as we were told there were no other rooms. We were also told there was a pool in a hot tub. Neither were working or functional. The stuff is very rude. There was water all over the lobby floor. We were told oh it's just condensation from the air conditioner but they never cleaned it up. It was still there the next day. Also, the room they serve breakfast in is so cold that even if the food is hot by the time you take it to the table and sit down the food is cold as I made myself a waffle but then there was no butter or syrup. There were no plates or cups. The attendant couldn't find them for a good 15 to 20 minutes before he finally started to bring them out for everybody else. By then all the rest of the food was cold. Save your money, go somewhere else
Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was obvious it hadn't been cleaned in months. Nothing worked. Smelled like mold everywhere. Everything was rusted. Staff clearly didn't care about anything. Want my money a back, honestly. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. Cleaner, too. Other reviews don't hit this place hard enough.
Booked the room because it’s supposed to have a hot tub. Pool was closed and not reflected on the website. This was disappointing since we drove almost 5 hours to this hotel. The drawer in the end table had not been cleaned and smelled like marijuana. There was black hair all over the shower also. Haven’t had the breakfast yet, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Will update after that.
Update: Breakfast was okay, but no milk until after 7? What’s that about?
Not a good experience. The entrance drive way is more of a collection of pot holes than asphalt which should have been a clue. Eggs run out during breakfast and food area was very dirty and the attendant was too busy on her phone to care. Message light was on in the room and front desk told me to just unplug the phone. The card swipe on the read door was damaged beyond repair. Pool was not working and overall housekeeping is not good. Front desk person does not enjoy his work and the level of customer service is very poor. Rooms are hard to get with the Chiefs starting training camp in town this week but avoid this hotel until there are new owners. The current owners have no pride in ownership.
If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. First off the staff including the "manager" was extremely rude, and did not help with our concerns even after asking them 3 times to bring an air freshener to the room or change our rooms. Once we opened up the door to the room it was so musty smelling you could barely breathe. Did our normal checks of the room, where we found half the outlets didn't work, dirty floors, damp feeling beds, and couch. The next morning we got ready for showers, the drain was clogged then I noticed the whole bathroom had mold on the ceiling and walls. We walked down to the front desk to tell the staff and ask for some sort of refund when all he said is "nothing I can do I only work here" We later called when the "manager" got to work and he said " he didn't believe us" when we told him all the problems even though we have plenty of pictures as proof! I wouldn't let me worst enemy stay here.
This was the nicest Fairfield Inn ever. Awesome breakfast with crustless spinach quiche, biscuits and gravy, lovely apples, oranges, bananas, a spectacular oatmeal bar. The staff was great!!! Very friendly people at the front desk took care of eve
I rarely ever give hotels 5 stars. Look at my reviews, most of them are negative. ð
We stayed four nights. This hotel was immaculately clean and the service was excellent. The room has a full size kitchen with a full size refrigerator. And th

Oh my. Pizza Heaven! I arrived a bit early, found a shady spot and waited for my pick up time. Chef started texting me pics. Pizza going in or coming out of the oven. Order was ready early! The minute you walk up you know this is gonna be good. Chef

Although the appliances are a bit loud, the quality doesn't falter. I greatly enjoyed my time working there with a delicious latte. I will visit again to try other unique flavors they offer.
