Quality Inn - Hotel in Lewiston - 2128 8th Ave, USA

I rate accommodation by room rate. This motel was decent and check in staff were friendly. However $265 for a room is highway robbery. To be far to the Quality Inn the entire town was gouging travelers. I was told it was because there were out of state road construction and other construction crew in town. Had a known earlier we would have gone north to the university towns up the road.| The room was clean, but the bathtub looked a little gross. Breakfast was very good. Scrambled eggs and sausage and delicious orange juice. | The stay was good, but the more than double what the price should be left a bad taste in my mouth. If we pass through the area again, it will be exactly that...passing through.

This hotel is simple, nothing super fancy, it sits in a run down area but the exterior of the hotel itself it’s well kept. There is No elevator but it’s only 2 floors. The room were very simple and in need of some minor repairs. The stairwells are very dirty and not inviting. The staff are very kind and helpful. My big issue was The front desk upgraded my room (thank you!) but forgot to note it in the system so I had a stranger walk in on me in the middle of the night. Not sure if it was an employee or another guest, they were stopped by the bolt lock but still unnerved a bit. Overall the stay was fine.

The room was as expected, clean and worry-free, but showing it's age. Some very noticeable (and mildly-repaired) damage to the counter top in the bathroom and several burned-out light bulbs. Not a big issue, but it just makes the place feel dated. Excellent service! My interactions with the staff were great! Very helpful and cheerful- even late at night. Kudos for sure! Breakfast, again, was as expected. A decent selection but a very nice addition to my stay.  (We stay here quite a bit due to the short drive to Moscow and the cheaper prices than the gouging that occurs in Moscow hotels during move-in, move-out, parents weekend, etc. The Quality Inn now, unfortunately, raises their prices as well, but not to the extent found in Moscow by far).  The location is nice, I've always found it to be quiet when I'm trying to sleep, and very close to the arterial roadways. So, clean, great service, and a good breakfast for a good price. I will probably always stay here when I'm looking for a hotel in Lewiston. (Already have booked move-in weekend for the fall, you should too).

Room was clean and a decent size. Arm chair in room was stained and had seen better days. The big issue is the lack of front desk staff. No one is there - ever. Checking in was difficult because we couldn’t find anyone. But if you want a free breakfast , anyone can wander in and have one, since no one is staffing the front desk.

I stayed here for business after a different place fell through, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this place. The hotel was obviously recently renovated, and aside from a slightly saggy mattress and somewhat stained bathtub, everything was nearly new. One word of warning to management if they see this review, and to anyone staying here. Do not use the power sockets on the bedside lamps! They're extremely loose and you can hear it sparking if you wiggle the plug. Those power sockets on the lamps are a definite fire hazard, I don't know why lots of hotels are buying this model of lamp lately.

Positive: The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious. It was within walking distance of a fun little Tavern and food. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was good. Negative: The people in the rooms next to me were loud and obnoxious, but that's not a reflection on the Hotel it's a reflection on the other guests. Negative: ""

One night down and a second night to go. So far the drain in the sink was clogged. They do not tidy the rooms daily. When asked they said only if you stay more than 3 nights. Same with towels. No exchange before 3 days. Was somewhat clean and the breakfast offered was just barely standard. Not a choice I will make again anytime soon

Cons: Sub par, very dated room. Bed needs to be replaced. Too old, soft, and unsupportive. Paint worn off walls. Air conditioner/heater falling apart. It works but the vent area is all cracked and loose--on its last legs. Walls are not well insulated and can hear other guests and housekeeping, plus too often disturbed by other guests' doors shutting too loudly. Bathroom flooring is loose and coming up. Shower wall is not stationary. It falls against the regular wall behind it. I asked a housekeeper in a room across from mine for more towels. I was outside my room and in a rush to get to the hospital to see an ill relative. I was carrying a couple things and she tried to hand towels to me in the hall. I told her I needed to get to the hospital, so she said she would leave them outside my door. It would have been nice for her to bring the towels into my room. Any other lodging's housekeeping would have brought them in. I thought that was unprofessional. Pros: front desk staff very very nice Room seemed clean. Since cons outweigh pros. I cannot recommend this place.
