I stayed at this hotel with my church on our way back from New Orleans. We came around 12:00 am it took at least 10 minutes before we were helped. When we got to our rooms it smelt like smoke. There were stains all over the bed sheets. The air conditioner did not work we were sweating after putting it on 60. The bathroom floor was disgusting. The shower looked like it was never cleaned. The bathroom is very hot and it smells like something was on fire. The toilet in one of the rooms was very wobble. The carpets in my room and downstairs were nasty. The sheets and comforters felt and looked like it was never ever cleaned. I do not recommend staying unless you want to sleep in a nasty hotel.
I checked in around 5:30am on 6-27-24 and checked out at 11am. I got a room with 2 beds for 2 adults and 2 kids I paid $85 total plus a $50 deposit. People may think I’m crazy to pay that much especially for 5 hours but that is part of the hotel industry. If you own/run a hotel like I do then you will understand the reason for deposits and reason for why you don’t get charged by the hour. This hotel is very clean and very friendly staff. The price for the room is very cheap for the quality of the room especially where I come from. Once I entered the room I noticed not a single scratch mark or hole on the walls the tables/dressers were clean and free of dust. The sheets towels mattresses and pillows not a single rip stain or tear. Carpet and chair free from stains. Not a single bug was found. trust me I turned the room upside down looking everything over. Hotels now days are hard to come across without a bug issue it doesn’t matter how many times a pest control comes and sprays it’s hard to keep bugs away. It’s not the hotels fault of having bugs if they do have them it’s the people who they rent to that bring them in just think about that. The shower was great nice hot water but could use a little better pressure but overall very good. I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed the room free from bugs dirt and even odors. The general manager from morning shift was very nice and friendly. The halls were very clean and didn’t have any odd smells like most places do. This hotel actually seems very new or at least freshly renovated. Overall good job staff and housekeeping for the clean and reasonably priced room. Definitely will be back next year around this time.
I've stayed here a few times just to get away from daily life and have a night to myself. Rooms are always clean, staff is friendly and I've never had an issue getting my deposit back. The A.c. in the rooms could use an upgrade, as they are loud, but they work and keep the rooms cold. Pool is clean, housekeeping is friendly. WiFi works great also.
Positive: I have stayed here several times. I like the breakfast in the morning. Negative: I never had any problems with this hotel till now. I booked the room for 2 people. When we entered our room there was only 1 bed. I went up to the front desk and they said they couldn't give me 2 beds. After manager got involved, I had to pay $15 more. Negative: ""
dingy hotel, disgusting rooms, smell of tobacco smoke, my bed wasnt even made, washed out stains everywhere, food was mediocre at best, manager was on "vacation", and the list goes on and on. don't ever stay here, it's the second worst hotel i've stayed at, because the worst one had cockroaches. so the one good thing is there is no cockroaches.

Being a diamond member on choice I stay often at motels. The inconvenience of asking a customer to move a vehicle around so you can paint parking lot is one thing!! But to have three workers standing outside of that customers room at 7:05 in the morning using a drill and talking as loud as possible and being so close to his door (which has a do not disturb sign hanging on it ) that he can barely get by to leave is absolutely ridiculous!!!
I booked a 1 night stay at this hotel through priceline. I checked in right around 3:00 PM and because my child was scheduled for a game at 3:30 PM, I walked right back to my car and left.
Returned around 9:15 PM and the first thing I noticed after putting my stuff down and heading to the bathroom was that the toilet wreaked with a urine stench and the bottom of the tub was in bad shape. That was where the issues for me began.
Next thing I noticed when washing my hands is that NONE of the washcloths, hand towels or bath towels are stain free. So, of course it causes me to pull back the sheets to examine the beds.
One bed had stained sheets and the other bed had a stained comforter with what appeared to be a urine spot.
I called the front desk to complain and request clean items. The young lady apologized, said the hotel was fully booked and instructed ME to come pick up clean ones from the front desk versus offering to bring them. At that point I decided I'd rather check out because even clean linens wouldn't fix that stank, subpar bathroom!
At this point it's approaching 10:00 PM and I tell my child that we're going somewhere else.
I get to the desk and while waiting for the attendant to return another customer shows up to ALSO check out because she had issues with her room! She was also there for the tournament and did exactly what I did when arriving.
I tell the attendant that I would feel more comfortable checking out and requested a refund. She checked my room and the other customer's room. When she returns she informs me that she cannot provide a refund because we checked in at 3 and took too long to bring a complaint. She didn't even acknowledge the issues. Basically insinuating that it could be MY doing! After going back and forth and the attendant claiming complete ignorance such as the trying to convince me that smelled fresh and the urine looking stain was caused by bleach, I opted to leave and stated I'll receive a refund one way or another.
I have already filed a complaint with both Priceline and the Quality Inn's parent company Choice Hotels. Both informed me that it is up to the hotel itself to determine whether a refund is granted. The Courtyard by Marriott on Broadway St. was ONE MILLION times better!
