Quality Inn South Lake Tahoe - Featured Reviews (1013)
We when checked in, we found that there are no elevators here and they didn't have any rooms on the ground floor. Two of us are disabled so not a good start but that was our lack of research as this was a last minute road trip. We arrived upstairs, to find that one of our rooms had not been cleaned. Check in is at 3 and it was now 5 so that was unacceptable. We saw a maid in the room next door and told her. She said we had to call the office so we did. They said they would give us another room. We went to eat dinner and when we came back we went to exchange the keys. To our surprise, they gave us the same room which had now been cleaned. We really didn't want it after seeing it nasty but at that point, we were exhausted so we just took it.
The beds were comfortable. The breakfast wasn't great but it was better than we expected. The pool was too cold for me. The hot tub was piping hot but no bubbles.
The one good thing about this hotel is that it is centrally located. There are lots of restaurants, shops, casinos and things to do nearby.
Good hotel and a good location..plenty of parking. The breakfast is good and the rooms are of a good size. The kitchenette is welcomed but we found the microwave over heated at times and would stop working till it cooled down. There is a pool here but is across the road from reception. Discount vouchers are given for a private beach which is nice.
I honestly think that this hotel could offer much more due to the great location close to the tourist center of the city. The staff was very attentive at all times and breakfast was like any other hotel, but I honestly think that they should give good maintenance to the rooms and the general view of the hotel, perhaps that was the only detail. Greetings.
got a suite. room just smelled awful so I decided to check the air filters. seems as though they haven't been cleaned in a while. I gave them a quick rinse in kitchen sink. leaves me to wonder what else hasn't been changed. dirty stained curtains. bathroom floor seemed to have some existing water damage in the suite I got. was all swollen. over all decent place but not sure if I would stay again.
If you want to stay at a place where you can't sleep due to loud music, where there isn't enough parking to accommodate the guests, and best of all where you stay for 3 nights and housekeeping doesn't come to your room once, then this is the place for you. Oh, and the sink leaks too. Thanks for nothing.
Typically I would say you get what you pay for but this place was not cheap compared to others in the area. The set up was odd, outdated inside the room, not really clean at all but reading the other reviews was not worth complaining of. The halls were odd and not clean. The room we had was not clean, there was some sort of food or something all over the bathroom floor, there were stains on the blanket, air conditioner did not work well at all and just the overall cleanliness of the room was not good. Parking set up was very odd too, as spaces were tiny. Staff was the okayest part of this place. Will definitely choose a different hotel the next time we stay in Tahoe, especially with kids.
Parking is totally inadequate. The parking lot is almost dangerously cramped and too small. The outside of the building and walkways are filthy. The carpet in the room is dirty, there is a stain on the bedcover, a hole in the bathroom wall, light bulbs missing, stains in the shower and the AC barely works.
There is a noisy concert going on outside at Ceasars which is in Nevada.
There is nothing to recommend this place but the fact that the desk clerk tries to be helpful.
This is a long review so I can mention each thing about the hotel, sorry not sorry.
So I did not plan for this stay, got stuck in Tahoe so I had to find a cheap hotel to stay in for a few days. Considering it’s July it was surprisingly easy to find a room here. It is very close to the casinos and Heavenly Village. Easily walkable. Breakfast is okay, very small space for the amount of people they get, and you will be bumping elbows just trying to make a waffle. The only meat protein options are jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches so it’s a little disappointing. MY MAIN ISSUE IS PARKING. There are not enough parking spaces for all of the rooms. Be prepared to find a parking space that could be far from the hotel and have to walk, especially if you plan to be returning to your hotel after 10pm. The parking lots themselves are confusing and almost dangerous. Have confidence with the possibility of have to reverse or 10 point turn yourself out of a corner. The rooms themselves are okay, AC works great. Fridge is tiny, and the tv we had glitched out like crazy. I know signal will be rough up in Tahoe but we couldn’t even get through one episode without the tv completely glitching out.

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
