Quality Inn Oxford Anniston I-20 - Featured Reviews (345)
This has been my worst experience at a hotel so far. I travel for work so I stay in different hotels every month. First, the door handle to my room was broken. Literally hanging down. I went to let the front desk know and all she said was "okay". Never offered me a different room. Then the sink doesn't drain. The drain plug is jammed down and bent. The microwave didn't work. It's plugged in. I checked. And check out is supposed to be 11am, but at 10:40 she came knocking on my door asking if I was leaving. She told me I had 10 minutes to be out because house keeping needs in. So I guess check out is at 10:40, not 11:00 like they have posted. Breakfast consists of apples, cornflakes, or yogurt. Not much of a variety there. My room was very hot when I went in, but it took about 30 minutes to cool down after turning the air on. The room smelled musty, and the air felt sticky. This hotel was not worth the price they charge, I'm Definitely contacting our corporate office who pays our hotel bills. And they charge a $40 deposit, which I sure hope I get back because all those items were damaged before I went inside the room.
Here's my honest review: The bed was comfortable but the pillows were small and lacking. The room and more specifically the bathroom had a weird sour smell. The door would not shut completely. You could see outdoor light shining in the door frame. The toilet needs shimmed. If you sit on this toilet expect it to rock back and forth to say the least. I did see one bug in the bathroom area. There's a lot of dirt/buildup in the corners of the baseboards/walls. It was not very clean. The coffee maker had calcium/ weird buildup in it. We chose to go get coffee from somewhere else. Don't expect extra towels. Asked about that and was told they aren't available. The laundry room is not available either. We had to go to a laundromat to wash some things. The customer service is bad. The lady who checked me in barely said 2-3 words I called and asked about the Wi-Fi password and she hung up the phone on me. While checking out the guy at the desk didn't speak. They do not explain the pre-charge for a deposit for the room. I don't think $40 is unreasonable but I would ask that you at least vocalize that to people. I also think the room quality needs to be better before asking for a deposit. Your bare feet will turn black walking on the carpet in the room. I would keep shoes or at least socks on. Ice machine was not producing ice. The location is good, especially if you're in the area for baseball or softball. Wi-Fi speeds are decent for a hotel. The location is safe and convenient. With so many options close by I would be hesitant to book a room here again.
Would I stay here again? YES. If only because of the 4 nights on the road trip that included this hotel, the king bed I scored, rocked. Like a soft pillow, even better than the bed I have at home. Never fond of room doors that face outside but it never felt unsafe and it was quiet for being next to the interstate. Had to negotiate stairs again (but prefer upstair rooms when dealing with rooms having no hallways/outside facing doors)... recommended.
If I could put zero stars I would. Absolutely one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever seen. Just waiting to find bed bugs and cockroaches like the other guests have. Definitely lack of “Quality” going on here 🤮 Do not stay here people and if this is where you get sent for work, look at the reviews before you arrive.
THIS HAD TO HAVE BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! Booked 2 Double Rooms, Only to have them cancel one of my rooms last minute! The fridge was broken and the room was filthy…My daughter had a track meet the next day and she hadn’t had any rest the night before..PLUS the guy at the front desk took $40 cash from me for a deposit when i checked my statement the hotel had also charged me $40…when i had paid for my room in full…this was awful
On a score 1 - 10 I give it a 10 on the negative side. Dont waste your time and effort. Rooms are dirty and sheets are dirty and stained. Refrigerators don't work and I might have mold in mine, can't wait to leave. Oh and make sure you wear shoes in the room or bring a hammer to drive the nails in on the floor.
The room in the 300 building I stayed in was nice, but they will charge a deposit to your bank account without telling you, which is considered theft by taking, especially if they don't explain it to you or show you a paper policy, they won't see me here again, next time I'll stay in a cabin on the mountain
Positive: "" Negative: The clerk tried to keep my deposit said she I paid with a card when I clearly paid it with cash didn?t give me my deposit until I refused to leave until the owner comes and check the camera
Very clean rooms, extra comfty beds, and the staff were very hospitable. The price per night is not bad at all compared to the surrounding options. It was a shame we stayed during this cold season, I would've loved to try the pool. It looked very ent
We were here only to use the conference room but it was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and despite the upscale feel of the building and decor the atmosphere was relaxed and calm. This was the best experience I've had utilizing a conferen
Very good place to go and fish, jog, relax, walk, or feed the ducks. We enjoyed looking at the Covered Bridge that is there. The water fountain in the middle of the lake is pretty. I would recommend this place.
This gym is awesome! The staff is super friendly, the gym is clean, there is a ton of equipment to work with, and they have child care! I'm super impressed and will absolutely be getting a membership here.
Not as ritzy as Big Time next door, but 10000 times as fun. Go carts here are real feel gas carts. They aren't as fast as the electric ones next door, but it is a better race experience. Everything in here is old as dirt. So they only charge a qu
