Quality Inn - Hotel in Manitowoc - 2200 S 44th St, USA

THIS PLACE IS A HEALTH HAZARD AND MUST BE SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. We arrived late after about 20 straight hours of international travel. We were really not picky and just wanted a clean bed to sleep in for the night. Somehow, this was too much to ask! Our first room had a broken light switch, no sheets on the bed, and a half-eaten pizza in the corner. We politely informed the front desk that our room had not been cleaned and said we would just appreciate another one. She offered another room and we expected the unclean room to be a fluke. But the SECOND ROOM had only one bed made, dirty toilet paper still in the toilet and another broken light switch, however we were so exhausted that we crashed in the one clean/made bed. Well, we woke up to BEDBUGS crawling all over the place. See pictures of bugs and some of our bites below. We immediately got the manager who tried to pretend like he didn’t know what they were (or maybe he really doesn’t know, which is perhaps more concerning). We asked for trash bags to isolate affected clothes and he pretended not to know what those were either (or, again, he may not know, which is even worse). The manager claimed to have refunded our room. I certainly hope that’s the case. We just left, so I guess we will see. UPDATE: my card was just charged the full amount for the room despite the manager claiming they would refund me, so add that to the LONG list of problems with this dumpster of a hotel!

Positive: Location was awesome. Very quiet. Parked right in front of our room. Coffee in room. Nice hot water in the shower with good pressure. Negative: One of the beds was not great.

Hotel needs a lot of work. Lobby and hallways smell like mold. There was black mold in the shower and it had a constant drip of water. A broken floor tile was a safety hazard. |The phone didn’t work which was an issue when there were people screaming and falling against our door in the middle of the night. |The only positive is the bed was comfortable.

Staff wasn't happy to see us. Definitely not service with a smile. This was a Priceline no refund deal, otherwise I would've canceled. Trainee was nice. Bed was ok for sleeping. Dirty tub & worn out carpet everywhere. Room darkening curtains worked well. Fairly quiet on 2nd floor for a holiday. Skipped breakfast d/t warnings from others & dietary restrictions. Also too early on a holiday.

Employees rude. Party outside window till about 11. Fridge and air in room made noise all night. Worst hotel stay ever and I stay in hotels regularly. About 2 am I left and slept in car. Sign put up and employees go to their rooms not helping customers. Smoking not allowed but hallway smells like skunk. Don't recommend

Good Location, nice staff, friendly, helpful and respectful..Very clean hotel, near so many restaurants, close to museums, close to car ferry. We really satisfied with our stay and I will be highly recommend this hotel. One of the owner are really amazing and made sure everything is fine in our stay...

Positive: Nothing Negative: They charge me $300 to bring in my dog without telling me. There was mold on all the walls in the bathroom. The free milk with breakfast was expired.

Our room smelled of dirty socks. The tub was filthy as well as the bathroom door(which wouldn't close) . When we checked in there was no greeting and no effort to be polite.
