Quality Inn - Norman near University - Hotel in Norman - 309 Norman Center Ct, USA

Pros: low cost, ample well-lit parking, safe, surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the expressway (we stayed in an odd numbered room on the back side of the property that abuts a large undeveloped property). No cleanliness concerns (not something I would take notice of unless pretty obvious). Beds OK. ||Cons: |1. service. We initially were given a room that was uninhabitable - no HVAC (no knobs on the window unit; the wall unit did nothing in this or our second room), no lights worked and there was no telephone in the room. Apparently this was one of the rooms undergoing renovation only the front desk person did not know this and it took a while to convince him that we in fact could not sleep in the room. |2. breakfast was minimal. The yogurt ran out quickly since there were only 3 ("we did not get a delivery" - consider changing delivery company), the only fruit was red delicious apples, OJ ran out before I was finished. There were make-your-own waffles and biscuits and gravy, until that ran out as well. Also cold cereal and white bread. |3. only the rooms are conditioned, not the hallways. |4. undergoing renovation so some noise and disruption. For example, see #1 and the exercise room was closed. |5. the diverter on the shower was not functional. I had to stand in the lobby and explain that I really did expect to take a shower before it got fixed (probably temporarily). |6. no conditioner, only shampoo (I asked at the front desk). |7. Window HVAC is not ideal from a noise perspective (but it kept the room at a reasonable temperature). ||Overall: If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean and safe place to spend the night and not expecting much else, including much of a breakfast if any, this should meet the need.

Positive: Accommodations and price Negative: Rooms were clean, but could have used a deep cleaning. Hotel was doing some remodeling so things (ice machine) had been moved around. It would have been nice if there had been ice and vending machines. on each floor

Positive: "" Negative: Room was filthy, entire hotel is dirty. Smoke detector in room was disabled. Wall mounted thermostat was nonfunctional. Staff was hostile, I had to check out early due to my trip ending early, but desk staff acted like it was some kind of personal affront

I rented a “double room” as shown on website and at check-in come to find out its not a “double bed room” its a room with a double bed. So they charge me $10 extra for a “double bed room” after i prepaid online. Finally, we get to our “upgrade” room and the keys do not work and i have to walk all the way back to the desk for the lady to not believe me and insult my intelligence by walking me to my room because she does not believe i am “smart enough” to work a hotel room key! They did in fact not work! After insulting my intelligence instead of just re programming the keys, we now have to wait in the hallway with all our luggage while she walks back to the front desk and re programs the keys that she could of just done in the first place. The bathroom had mold and awful repairs done. The fan in the bathroom sounds like a small airplane taking off! There is only one regular caffeinated coffee pack in the room. I guess the other person in the room will drink decaffeinated at 4:30 am? There is also no laundry bag for our dirty laundry and so now i must put my dirty clothes in with my clean clothes in my luggage AND ALL WHILE MY FATHER IS IN ICU AT NORMAN REGIONAL! This is the service i get for $80 a night! And after posting this, i came back in too edit it and the pictures i added to this review are not showing on the actual review….hmmmm imagine that!!!

Positive: Nothing!! Negative: Staff treated us horrible, no towels or extra sheets/pillows for the pull out couch, hotel pool was nasty, roachs. We had booked double rooms and were given one bed in each room. They wanted to argue that I had in fact not booked double rooms. Very rude!!

Positive: It was pet friendly Negative: I noted on reservation, I had two small puppies. They wanted to charge me $200.

Positive: Staff very polite Negative: The only complaint I had was that they didn't replace the hot food to keep up with the people coming in for breakfast...

The new owner is super nice and helpful al a days polite. Just the type you would fall in love with. She really is awesome.
