Quality Inn Morgan City - Hotel in Morgan City - 520 Roderick St Building B, USA

This is a “Double” property if that makes sense. It was originally built as a Holiday Inn. Now it’s the Quality and Clarion (I think). The large original building is the Quality and there is a separate building in the back that’s the “nicer” Clarion Inn. I’ve stayed at this property several times. If all you need is a place to lay your head and take a shower, then I would recommend this property a 8/10 … it’s just a little old, but they keep everything nice and in working order. the property has a very large pool, with plenty of chairs and tables. There are several grills around the property. There is a bar/lounge that looks very nice (I’ve never been in there) and there is a restaurant on location that offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner… buffet style as well as a menu. I’ve eaten at the restaurant twice. Once on New Year’s Day (wasn’t impressed) but we had the buffet and it was around 1:30 when we went so I think they were getting ready to close to prepare for Dinner. It wasn’t bad. There wasn’t many choices. The other time, we ordered off the menu and it was delicious!

Cleanliness and price alone made the stay well worth it. Breakfast was not that great and they did not have free coffee in the lobby. You can tell the hotel is older but very well-maintained and a very friendly staff.|It is the only place I will stay when we come back to Morgan city. Very clean and well-maintained swimming pool as well.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The in-hotel restaurant was spacious with a seafood buffet on Friday night that was the bomb!!! The breakfast buffet was just as good! The lounge/bar was awesome. It was two story with a dance floor and a very friendly bartender. The king bed was comfortable and the WiFi was fast.

Une chambre avec un sol très sale (les vêtements et les pieds de notre enfant qui fait du 4 pattes étaient noirs), un hôtel quasi vide mais on nous a mis dans une chambre (la 320) dans un couloir sans lumière en face de la machine à glaçon bruyante, de plus nous avons été débité de deux petits déjeuner non demandés directement sur notre compte en banque. Quand nous avons demandé à la réception un remboursement ils nous ont dit de faire opposition. Du vol ! Surtout fuyez cet endroit

Overall the hotel it's self is about the same and really no big complaints. There was a new coat of paint on the exterior from the last time I stayed there in 2019. New tv's but no good channels to look at. Carpet in room was the same. Water pressure in showers is weak, Wifi was intermittent but was still able to connect. The BAD part of the hotel is MORGANS! It has gone way down in quality of food and service. Thru work I get free meals(Breakfast, Dinner) and ate out more than I would have liked to. Use to be a good place to get food after a days work. Staff use to be friendly. In my opinion it is terrible now.

I have stay at this location several nights over the past 20 years. Witness the good and the not so good here. From the Oil boom to The Horizon disaster then the down turn in our industry then the lock down Due to the virus. You have survived all this and the improvements are noticable please keep up the great work you are Doing.

The receptionist was nice and helpful. I found 4 hairs in the tub. The floor isn't clean in the bathroom, like black spots I hope r old dirt and not mildew in the textured floor. The ceiling above the tub is mildewed. This happened 2 a relative, so I know what I'm looking at. The paint is chipped off on the ceiling in the bathroom; the building is old. But that is mildew along the ceiling along the wall in the shower. A roach or some other large flying bug flew at me when I was lying down watching TV. I guess it's behind or under the bed now cuz I wasn't able 2 find it and kill it. So now I probably won't sleep well cuz I'm worried about whatever flew at me coming back.

Most comfortable bed I have slept in in years. All hosts were personal and courteous. Restaurant employees treated all the guests like family.
