Quality Inn - Lees Summit, Kansas City - Hotel in Lee's Summit - 1020 SE Blue Pkwy, USA

Absolute garbage experience. The room we booked was not what we were offered. The room was obviously having structural issues as the floor sloped significantly down. When we asked for a different room we were told there were none available. Wall outlets were smashed and unusable, and the air conditioner was pouring water all over the floor and still no rooms were available. When going to the front desk it took ten minutes for anyone to come to the front desk and I had to call the hotel number to get anyone to come up. Horrible customer service, no apologies, only an offer to refund through hotels.com. Total ripoff and trashy rooms.

First thing was the staff, extremely unfriendly, made me really uncomfortable as I checked in alone because my second guest wasn't in town yet. Secondly the room was dirty, the bathroom sliding door wouldn't shut. The king bed was a solid rock. Thirdly, we were on the second floor and we heard every single sound that happened in that hotel all night. This was a last minute hotel need, I wouldn't stay here otherwise.

Room only has ONE outlet in the bathroom, so plan for that. One small trash can as well that wasn’t emptied once during our three day visit. Room phones are plugged in but do not work. This hotel is also generally empty, and so it feels unsafe to not provide basic safety features like a working phone to contact the front desk in case of an emergency. Service was hard to find, we were given one key for two people and when given a second key, it stopped working our second night. Bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush so I went to the lobby Women’s bathroom which was covered in filth and red specks all over the wall. We also found that that the microwave glass is larger than the microwave and thus couldn’t spin when closed. Room service was also nonexistent. All around, this hotel clearly doesn’t care for its guests wellbeing and you would be better off staying anywhere else.

The people are arrogant liars is the best way I can describe them. I reserved a handicap room on the first floor but when I arrived was told I couldn’t have the room I reserved because I have a service dog. My reservation was cancelled until I called Choice while standing in their lobby. The next day I was told there were no handicap rooms available so I would have to move to the 3rd floor for pets that they had no handicap rooms. I went online and checked and saw he was lying again that there were handicap available so loaded up to leave. When he saw that I was leaving he said he would give me the handicap room that he lied and said he didn’t have. I left anyway. I hate liars.

DO.NOT.STAY.HERE!!! Please spend the extra few dollars to stay anywhere but here. If I would've gotten a refund instantly, I would've done the same. The service is the worst I've seen. No hot water, it sounds like a train is coming through your wall while water is on. Front desk said just run it for 30 min it'll be fine, my fault I only ran it for 20. No phones work in the building. Upon arrival, as a disabled veteran with me I advised that we have a service animal, he illegally asked for documentation. I told him, I'm pretty sure you can't ask for that but only ask for commands. When I pulled up the Missouri law, he said, ok, ok ma'am. I haven't had this experience at other quality inns, just this hell hole. I don't expect much but this was way worse than I could've imagined. Save yourself, stay anywhere but here.

Positive: It was close to everything we had scheduled. Negative: The shower never really had hot water. The pipes vibrated so much and so loudly, I am sure I woke up everyone in all the rooms at our end of the hall.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Have tried reaching out to their corporate office multiple times for help resolving my problem. Booked a room through BringFido because it said they were pet friendly (which they were) except the first room they put us in smelled like feces, and had semen stains (at least I hope they were stains) around the room including a large one across the top of the comforter. So we returned to the front desk to talk to them about it and they gave us a replacement room which, to our surprise, was worse than the original. After deciding that there was no way we could stay, we returned to the front desk and explained the situation and requested a refund, they said I'd have to go through BringFido to do that, I asked for their name or some proof that we weren't going to be staying there, and they told me that their computer was down and he couldn't help me at all, asked for their name or managers name and he just kept repeating that I'd have to go through BringFido and couldn't help me. I called BringFido's customer service before leaving the parking lot and they immediately opened a case to help me get it resolved and have reached out to request a refund and received no help from Quality Inn. So then I tried reaching out and again received no help and no refund. Think twice before booking a room here.

This isn't the worst hotel, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. It's not the cleanest. The breakfast is horrible. The TV volume doesn't work. It's mold on the shower curtain. The floors are dirty. The pillows and sheets are thin/flimsy. The staff doesn't speak English. If you want a cheap place to stay for 1 night then maybe but I'd advise spending $10-$20 more per night at a better hotel.
