DIRTY…DIRTY…DIRTY. Quality Inn JFK Airport as of 5/10/23 is not being maintained or managed well. The rooms are not clean. I immediately discovered a condom the floor just inside the door of my room. The sheets on the bed were stained and wrinkled as if they had not been laundered. The towels were dirty. Only one of the three lights in the room worked. I asked for another room and it was dirtier. The switch in the next room was greasy to the touch. The top edge was encrusted and grimy as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. I left quickly without staying the night. As I checked out clerk gave my room to the next person in line, without enough time for the room to be cleaned. JFK Quality Inn is difficult to enter from the road. The hotel has only one exit. The halls are narrow and dark. The property is not handicapped accessible. The only route to the elevators is a steep short set of stone steps. The customer service was poor and very unprofessional. Twice I witnessed the clerk being caustic and verbally abusive to customers before I even checked in. It seems that Quality Inn Rockaway wants people to leave to double or triple sell rooms. Other customers who arrived at the same time, for the same event were also leaving the hotel. As I could find no other option and was forced to cut the trip short and drive home.

It was the least expensive hotel near JFK. The room was clean. I locked myself in and didn’t leave until morning. Few breakfast items. The van had a piece of paper taped to the window that said Quality Inn, very high, no step stool and weirdly no handles to help pull yourself in. I finally made it with the help of driver and another passenger. Note it runs once an hour. Staff in lobby are locked behind glass enclosure. I can see why, very sketchy area. I travel a lot, just needed a quick overnight. I can sleep through just about anything and did, noisiest place outside and inside. Staff were nice.

Where to start. We came in ready to check in after our flight was cancelled, and the booking was wrong and booked for another night. The clerk gave us a hard time, and I was ready to just leave. We eventually got the room, and the whole hotel smelled like bad fish. The room didn't feel like it was clean, and the sheets had stains. The vending machine didn't work. There was noise all night. The neighborhood this is in is really bad, and I didn't really feel safe. Do not stay tat this place. Spend the extra money, but do not book here.

The closeness to JFK Airport is a plus. As for the amenities, things like the pick-up and drop-off service going to JFK airport can be misleading. The drop-off is at some location near the airport from where you can take the air transit. Further, some people sitting at the reception have issues speaking in English / understanding what you ask and do not have much patience while others are nicer. They do not have a laundry room though it is advertised on their website. The room has a nice big bed but the AC/ Heater in our room was quite loud and the door was difficult to open. It's nice that they provide breakfast even though sometimes it's just coffee, cornflakes, bread, jam, and butter. The catch though is that they close their breakfast almost 20-30 minutes before they tell you.

Due to a long layover we decided to book a night here and head into the city for a few hours. |On arrival the hotel looked a lot more run down that the pictures on the booking site we used.||Even our Uber driver said “oh at least it’s only a night” - that should have been our first clue.||We entered the hotel and the receptionist was on the phone dealing with a complaint.|Whilst waiting, a man and a lady walked in. He has no shoes on and she was intoxicated to a point where her head was slumped & it was awful to witness. He jumped in front of us in the queue and was requesting a room. |Credit where it’s due, the receptionist asked him to move aside while she dealt with us as we’d waited a while. ||We got to our room, DIRTY! It was that dirty neither of us wanted to get a shower for risk of catching something. There was hair everywhere, the floor wasn’t cleaned & blood on the back of the bathroom door and the bedroom wall. ||We questioned leaving the bags there whilst going into the city and then sleeping in the airport. It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, in my life & I have travelled a lot. ||As we left for the city, there were some questionable characters outside and it didn’t feel safe. ||Another uber driver advised us that it wasn’t a safe location & that we needed to be careful & on guard lol||Just don’t - pay extra and get somewhere you can actually sleep in & feel safe & comfortable- nothing worse after a 9 hour flight |

First off my husband is a loyalty member and used his hotel points to book the room. We knew the area around the airport could be sketchy but we did look up reviews and am not sure what we read compared to what we walked into but oh my. I didn't feel safe. We walked into the hotel lobby first to be greeted by a man who was upset and decided it would be appropriate to spit everywhere. 9pm in Queens and there was no security anywhere to be seen this was another issue. We get checked in and move on to the room. Once in the room my instant feeling was someone had just checked out of the same room less than an hour ago. The bed looked like someone quickly made it after sleeping in it. I found a few hairs throughout the bed and of course I pulled the covers back looking for bugs. thank goodness I didn't find any. The mattress and pillows were hard as rocks. We slept on top of the covers in our clothes because there was no way I could even think of getting under the sheets. The furniture was Velvet blue fabric looking like it was just used for some X rated movie. It was so uncomfortable. The bathroom was the cleanest place. The smell of pot was throughout the entire facility as well. We needed to be at the airport early so we had to pay an uber which charged us $90 since we felt as if we could trust the shuttle to get us to the airport on time to make our flight. Needless to say as a loyalty member we are not happy

Horrible experience. Loud. Staff didn’t care. Supposed to have a shuttle to the airport that I arranged for the night before. Wasn’t available when I was there at the appointed time. Ended up having to take an Uber. Part of the reason I stayed there was for the shuttle. Again, staff was not apologetic at all. One of the worst hotel experiences of my life. Don’t stay here.

If I could give this place no stars I would. First you pull in to no parking to check in. Parking ,which is only a few spots, In the back with no entry. You have to walk down a flight of stairs and through the place to get to a small elevator. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, come to find out they don't have any queen beds evidently just full. It's noisy. I'm not talking the planes I'm talking you hear all the noises in the hotel. Beds was ok, room was small. Bathroom was average, except the toilet felt like you was sitting on the floor and it was positioned under the counter! Front desk lady was nice but didn't even offer to compensate that we didn't get what we had reserved. All she would say is the sight needed updated. We will never stay again. Not worth what we paid for the night. Floor left your socks dirty, and didn't have enough towels or washcloths in the bathroom. The tiny bottle of shampoo had been used, glad I don't rely on there's. Breakfast wasn't great, we skipped it. Pictures online that we had seen made the place look decent, we joked that they got them someplace else. Our sheets looked like they had greasy food on them that didn't come out. The blind in the window wouldn't open and should've been replaced ages ago. No microwave, and the tiny mini fridge was on the floor under the desk. Horrible time and wouldn't recommend staying
