So we arrived on a Saturday evening and upon entering the hotel to check in, there was no one at the front desk. I had to ring the bell and someone came to help. There was also a musty smell and damp feeling in the air in the lobby. We went to our room and upon entering there was a musty smell mixed with cigarettes but we weren’t in a smoking room. We were tired after a day of driving and figured we would just deal with it. The room was alright, some fixtures needed to be replaced. The non slip mat in the tub appeared dirty and the sink was barely draining. We called to let the front desk so they wouldn’t charge us. We then needed an extra blanket and tried calling the front desk, with no response. We made 3/4 trips up to the front desk within 3 hours and no one would come to the desk to assist. The toilet seat was also cracked completely and ended up cutting my friend’s leg late Saturday night. On Sunday morning, we went to eat at their “ continental breakfast” which included make your own waffles, wrapped pastries and cereal. There was no milk for the cereal and the tables as well as the bar with all the food was dirty. We advised the front desk of the toilet seat on Sunday morning and they couldn’t replace the toilet seat so they switched our rooms to a nicer room. This new room had a different smell, but not good. This new room was also somehow even more damp than the original. Towels wouldn’t even dry in the bathroom. The water took 10 minutes to get warm. The pros of this hotel were the location. I don’t think I would stay here again.

WORST HOTEL EVER My husband was asked to play in a ball tournament and had a room booked 3 weeks prior to coming. There was also a race going on so our choice of hotels was limited. When we got to our room, it had not been cleaned. There was toothpaste in the sink and dirty sheets. The tables had rings on the them from cups and the rings were still wet! We immediately went to request another room but they were full. We got a refund but could not find another available room for 90 miles. The husband of the front desk clerk offered to clean the room for us. He was the only good thing about this place. As he scrubbed the bathroom, my husband and I stripped the beds, put on clean sheets, wiped everything down and vacuumed. It was probably the cleanest room in the hotel once we got done. The next morning, we came down for breakfast at 6:30. I had no intentions of eating here, but the kids wanted to check it out. It had only been open for 30 minutes with no other people in site. There was no hot water for the tea or oatmeal. In fact, there was no water at all. The waffle mix was empty after making 1 waffle. And when we asked the clerk for anything, she was blatantly irritated that she had to get up and do something. I know I should have read the reviews, but we didn’t book the hotel, and again, there were NO other rooms available for miles. I’m thankful for a family that didn’t complain near as much as they wanted to I’m sure, and who jumped in and helped clean and make the most of it. Because we were actually considering sleeping in the car. 😳 Bottom line, steer clear of this hotel!

It was clean but we noticed some things were a bit dated in the room we had. The office chair that was pushed up to the desk was missing 95% of it's faux leather and was just the backing left to sit on. The TV remote didn't work and the back was missing so they just put bunch of scotch tape over the batteries. The door to access the ground level hallway at the back of the Hotel didn't require a keyboard because it didn't latch when pulled closed, so basically anyone can just walk right in so security is non existent.

Nice and friendly staff Pretty Clean and reasonable prices… The only thing is you have to let the water run for about five minutes for it to get warm it might not be a five star motel but if you ask me, it was pretty nice. I would stay there again. I don’t see a reason why to spend $200 to $300 on one room for one

One of the worst hotel experiences ever. We travel a lot, and most times, for this reason I would rather use Airbnb. As soon as we walked into the room, you could smell the mold & mildew. We got to the room around 2 am and were planning to leave real early, so we dealt with it. Then, in the morning, there was NO hot water. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the ceiling was peeling. Staff was helpful when we checked in, but after showing displeasure they refused to take care of us (we were traveling as a family of 4). No refund, and no discount, just a smart Alec manager who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with our room. I hope they get shut down quickly because this is a health hazard.

It took 45 minutes to check in because they did not recognize Expedia payments even though I could show them I was paid. They gave me a single when I paid for a double and then told me they didn't have any doubles. Online showed they still had them. The room itself stank and someone had used the bathroom prior to use using the room. A soap was opened, hand towel used, etc. There was mold in the shower and on the last night we found a cockroach. There was a horrible leak in the hallway right by the office are and eating lounge with 3 buckets and towels all over the floor collecting water. No hot water for showers. The desk staff was extremely unprofessional. For a "executive" site i would certainly expect more. The breakfast was nothing to brag about and the milk sour. My family of three all had to share the king size bed. None of us got any sleep. It completely ruined our weekend. I dreaded having to return to the hotel. I rarely make complaints but this stay was one of the worst in my 30 years of traveling. I was in town for a event and there were no other options. This unit should condemned.

Awful, just Awful! No hot water, 3 out of 5 days. Staff would always say they didn't know anything about it or say there must be something wrong with my faucets. I had another reservation coming up, I cancelled it. They also still advertise a hot breakfast - it's a waffle maker and nothing more. Previous years, they served hot items, like eggs, sausage, sausage gravy & biscuits, etc. I asked for a partial refund, when I checked out. Was told again that they didn't know anything about the hot water and they would have to check with the owner for any refund. I don't believe they ever checked, finally got a points compensation from Choice Hotels. I cannot recommend this place and won't stay here again.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I knew it was a bad sign seeing the rough exterior of the building, and the fact the manager was out front smoking. Cleanliness was kind of OK, but the carpet was pretty awful and there were some small stains on the bedding. AC didn't work in one room as there was a box fan running when we got in. Peeling paint in the bathroom, toilet barely flushed. My parents also had a room. There's was much the same and smelled musty. They tried the breakfast and said there was a moldy orange. There was a door to enter in the back, and it didn't even latch so anyone could come in the building.

Still lovely! Nicely kept city park. Love the Greenway Trail wandering through it as well. Be nice to have a restroom open all year though, this is a popular place. 😉
