Just spend a little more time and effort in each room cleaning behind the toilet and under the bed.... Wash all bedding and towels.... Soap, water and elbow grease would have you getting 5 stars immediately and all it would be costing you is some energy and effort.

Good location for us. Has a McDonalds, Casey's gas station and, Wally's restaurant within driving distance. Check in was extremely slow, service was adequate, rooms were nice and well maintained except for carpet area walking on carpet would leave your feet black and sticky. Pool was permanently closed. Breakfast area was clean but as usual very few choices. Still a good value would stay again.

I normally dont like to complain but it was bad. This will most likely fall on deaf ears but The toilet was clogged so we had to get a plunger from the front. We were tired from traveling so the last thing we wanted to do is mess around getting the toilet to unclog, the AC didn't work well at all it was very hot and uncomfortable. There was not a hair dryer in the room at all so we called up front so we didn't get charged for it missing. Big iron burn in the middle of the floor shaped like the iron. Stuff in the bath tub. We went to check out and reminded the bigger lady up front that there was no hair dryer *we were worried we were going to get charged* and she got hateful. This place needs a major upgrade and major staff change.

I think the cockroaches had reservations for the rooms before us. Came here just to get a couple of hours of sleep; but instead we stayed up in fear of finding a new bug break in. It was just disgusting with the bugs, smells, and stains on the beds.

Great location but very old hotel that has not been kept up. Carpet and floors were dirty. Pool was covered with grass growing on it. The good thing was bed clean and mattress good

We stopped to get a room at this hotel on July 7th. We have choices privileges and are retired military. We paid for two rooms. First we switched rooms because we were given a room that you can not see out the window. Upon switching rooms before getting settled in our son comes out his room complaining of bed bugs. We speak with the front desk and he hassles us about giving us a refund. He finally does because we threatened to call cooperate and we had 📸 pictures of the bugs. But I honestly can say this hotel deserves less than a one star. It is not the first time we have had problems their. The have not done updates in years. It has gotten worse and worse over the years. Avoid at all cost.

Stayed here for the eclipse. The town around it (lots of closed businesses) didn't give us the best impression as we drove in. And the hotel exterior needs help. But the room was ok. Fairly clean. Friendly staff. Not the greatest place to stay but good value for what I paid.

The worst hotel experience I’ve had. My family and I were on a roadtrip and decided to stop to take a break from driving. The hotel was off the highway but turned out to be a huge mistake staying there. First off, when we got there, the women at the desk had such a hard time checking us in claiming she couldn’t find our reservation. While she tried to figure it out, I noticed two roaches on the floor. She still seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing regardless she gave us the room # and keys. The room was bug city. There was old stains on the bedsheets, the tv didn’t work and we were having trouble getting the AC to turn on. My brother and I went to the lobby to let the receptionist know the AC isn’t working. She disregarded our problem and instead asked my brother for his card again because she still couldn’t find our reservation even though we had our reservation confirmation on email. My mother called to let us know she got the AC to work so we told the receptionist its ok now and went back to our room. Back at the room my brother noticed that he got charged twice for the room! Again my brother went down to the lobby to ask about the double charge. The lady said she couldn’t do anything but leave a note for her boss. The next day there was a different receptionist and we told her about the double charge. She called her boss and she told us that he will stop by the hotel to see what went wrong on their end. Meanwhile we went to their cafeteria to have the breakfast they offer. The floor looked dirty and the butter spread tasted spoiled i had to throw it out. We went back to our room to gather our things for checkout. We went to the lobby for checkout and we waited about 15 min for the receptionist to show up to the front desk. Then she proceeded to tell us that we cant checkout or give us a receipt because we were never checked in and were put down as a no show! Not only did we get double charged but we were denied our receipt! We asked to speak to a manager or at least a number we can call but were told there is no manager and no corporate number to call because they were privately owned. She was being extremely rude raising her voice at us while we were being calm. She said her boss did show up to the hotel but did not want to speak to us before leaving and just told her to just let us know that he issued a refund for one of the charges and should appear in the account in a day. Still she gave us no receipt, no number to call, or even a name. She yelled at us that she cant do anything and to just leave. Worst stay and worst service I’ve ever experienced. Seems like they a running a sketchy business. Please do not stay here!
