Breakfast wasn't great because they only had meat with the eggs half the time and instant coffee. The windows do open all the way so that's nice if you like fresh air. Standard rooms and cold air conditioner. I did smell marijuana in the hall ways and out side almost everyday. They offer smoking rooms. The parking lot has lots of lights which gives me a little more security. For a quick stay I would say come here. It's nice place for the price and lots of restaurants within walking distance. I didn't have any trouble at all.
This room was very nice, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The maid service was below par, & the towels were extremely dingy. Also, the cable was awful. It kept glitching we could t even watch the Olympics. They looked more yellow than white. On the upside, the pool was beautiful and very clean. There was a very nice breakfast that had a vast array of different items served downstairs. The parking was very well lit, along with a parking pass. There are multiple grill and bar restaurants located right next door on both sides along with, across the street. The weekends become very packed after dark outside, from all the drinkers leaving. If you want a hotel that has great food and fun next door, you’ve found it!!!
The hotel is fine but there is no consideration for the ADA laws 😕
I am clearly disabled and hard for me to walk far. My doordash was delivered to the other side of the hall and the attendant gave me an attitude and never brought my bags from doordash over. I had to bring them myself and I almost collapsed from breathing too hard.
I don't want to completely bash the employee he probably thinks it's not his problem but unfortunately with ADA laws it is.
If I had collapsed it would have been the fault of the hotel.
I would never make a deal out of it but someone else would.
Please educate your employees for the future that someone who is disabled within reasonable needs must be accommodated.
Floors in the bathroom were dirty. Towels were yellow stained. There were no towels at the pool. We had to walk dripping wet to the front desk for towels. Breakfast was disappointing. Only offered waffles, nothing else was available. Someone was smoking pot on our floor and it infiltrated into our room. For a Choice hotel, this was really a disappointment. I feel like this is the bargain basement hotel of the Choice hotel chain. Probably would not stay here again.
The outside looks great. The key cards barely worked, we had to get ours switched a few time during our 3 night stay. I went to the front to ask for something and the guy asked me what room. After telling him my room, he said no that that can't be my room number because the guy is white. I told him yes and he's my husband but he shook his head a few times and didn't believe me (I'm Asian). The breakfast was not the Edible for us (1 hr before end of breakfast) I would definitely book a better hotel next time I visit Texas. I've never had a hotel literally count towels and mark down how many extras we took. I didn't want to ask for more during the stay and ended up using their laundry machines to wash the towels we got.
We booked into this hotel shortly before midnight and we were looking forward to getting some rest.
In our first room -202 we were greeted by the sight of a kicked in bathroom door which hadn’t even been attempted to be repaired. The door could not close at all. We shrugged that off as acceptable for a short stay. After taking a shower I grab the bath mat and notice that there is numerous drops of dried blood on our bath mat. Going to the phone for the room to call front desk notice it is horribly dirty.
We went down and requested a new room and were offered 322. We walk in and immediately notice a smear of dried blood across the wall. As well the entirety of the third floor smelled pungently of marijuana.
We return to the front desk and request a new room, as well I believe I was justified in requesting either a compensation for a night or an upgraded room on the main floor for having 2 rooms with bio hazards. The front desk called their managed Vick who kindly offered us that we can just leave.
As we had no ability to leave and stay elsewhere we requested a new room and were given 201. Although no biohazards in the form of blood the room was clearly dirty with brown dirty sheets, and walls that have never been washed.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This quality inn is really awesome. I stayed for 3 days and was really impressed. I travel quite frequently. Management and staff are very accommodating!
Positive: It's location was convenient and the room size was nice. Negative: This hotel was the worst kept hotel I've ever encountered. Stains on the sheets, pillows, and bathtub. Key cards wouldn't work. Remote control only allowed you to change the channel - no volume or power. "Nasty" sums it all up into one word! Negative: ""
So pleasantly surprised with the most incredible stay at the Sandman in Downtown Fort Worth. I chose this hotel because of the raving reviews it had. I was on work travel and it was out of the way but I am SO glad I chose this hotel.
