Quality Inn & Suites Springfield Southwest near I-72 - Hotel in Springfield - 3442 Freedom Dr, USA

Had a great stay here over this Labor Day weekend while in town for the AFT & Steve Nace motorcycle flat track races at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Great location, excellent room and breakfast, and super nice and great people who run the hotel. Rodney (manager) knocked it out of the park, has a great group of people working for him and very helpful and accommodating to and for the guests. I'll be back, and thanks for a great stay!

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight and a fantastic value for money. The staff here are some of the nicest and kindest I’ve ever encountered, making our stay truly memorable. The cleanliness of the hotel was acceptable, meeting our expectations for a comfortable stay. For the price, this hotel definitely deserves a five-star review. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers seeking excellent service!

Good location, in walking distance from a lot of stores and restaurants including a Target store right across the street. Sadly, not everything was great. Even though there is plenty of signs regarding the smoke-free policies, our family smelled smoke throughout the whole building. The lady at breakfast was very rude (I didn't catch her name), but she was micromanaging and told my daughter she couldn't use the waffle maker. Even though it was posted that only people aged 16+ could use the machine, she is 15, so she went to use the machine. With me also knowing she is more intelligent than 😑some😑 people and has plenty of home cooking experiences, I didn't mention their policy to her, knowing that she can be independent and so I could work on getting my food instead of having to "help" her. No, I do not want to talk to customer service or anyone, I just need Miss Manners here to calm the down. Also the location was kinda in a maze of streets so it was kinda hard to get back here from in the city. Also had a decent pool, nothing special.

They ran out of pillows, blankets, towels, and washcloths. half of people had to sleep without one. The one’s that got a pillow it wasn’t much more comfortable. The pillows were very flat. After swimming in the pool my brother got diarrhea and was throwing up all night. The pool does not look like the one in the picture it is disgusting. The side of the pool was rusted. When we asked them if they clean their pool they said that they would check and see if the maintenance guy was still there and if he wasn’t they would leave a note. Would not recommend for family trips. Desperately need a health inspection.

DO NOT STAY Checked in and found someone passed out in the lobby. Obviously drunk from the night before and was kicked out. After returning from dinner my wife and sister in-law were harassed by drunk patrons in the front lobby. The staff allows guests to drink in the parking lot and harass young women. The hotel and rooms smelled like cigarettes. The shower would not drain. The front desk initially refused to provide a refund. After threatening to call the police, they happily provided a refund. There is crime here. Do not stay.

I was in the room tor 2 nights listening to someone pace back and forth non-stop over my head. When my friend arrived we decided we needed to change rooms. We were told the person above us making the noise had checked out but the pacing continued. Sara at the front desk couldn't have been any more rude. She was nasty to my friend, yelling at him, and even accused him of being drunk. A quick trip up the elevator confirmed that this room was still occupied. She changed her story completely about the source of the noise and told us she couldn't change our room and that if we didn't like it we could pack our things and leave-she would give us a refund. We were then told that housekeeping was gone for the day so they couldn't clean the room we were in. My friend and I had just passed the housekeeper in the hall and when we confronted Sara she told us he only cleans the upstairs rooms. Wait, what?????? Sara has no business working with the public. Zero customer service skills. She is 100% of the reason I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. On our way out I stopped to make sure my money was refunded and the person behind the counter offered to give us a different room. (After our things were packed and in the car).

They where just terrible. They were out of bedding stuff, towels, and pillows. Half of us did not have pillows or blankets. The front desk staff were all grumpy. We made the mistake of swimming in there pool and my brother had diarrheal and was vomiting all night after the pool. We asked if the had a cleaning log on the pool and they said “if our maintenance man is still here we will have him check” The side of the pool was all rusty and did not look like what they advertised on there website. They NEED a health inspector asap. I will never come back and I would never recommend EVER.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The windows open! Made a huge difference for me. Yay! The breakfast was excellent and you can tell the people who work here take pride in their work. Stay here. You will have a great rest. Great shower too!
