Quality Inn & Suites Slidell - Featured Reviews (498)
This Quality Inn sits a one-minute drive from the interstate. Enormous gas station nearby. Motel feels new and is very attractive. Our check-in was painless and we were in our second floor room within minutes of arriving. Huge room with plenty of sitting area, king bed, slow wifi, view of the parking lot. All was well except the breakfast area. Coffee was not hot, and we could not fix that as we left in a pouring rain.
The rooms were clean we only spent one night coming through from Oklahoma to Alabama. The mattress was okay it wasn't the greatest but it was a comfortable night sleep so I guess that's what counts plenty of pillows and cover was nice so they had fresh baked cookies last night for when you for the evening time. If if you like to watch TV they had all of the movie channels and Netflix and Hulu and all that kind of stuff
Nikki was by herself on the front desk and the breakfast area in the morning, but was very friendly and did a great job refilling everything as fast as possible. The rooms were also nice and the location is convenient to the highway, but quiet.
I checked in at approximately 9:46pm on January 3, 2024. I registered with two short hair lab service animals. I provided training certificates at check in.
We checked out at 9:30am the very next morning. The manager proceeded to charge me $250.00 cleaning fee because they stated there was dog hair everywhere. I always place a blanket on top of the hotel comforter and my dogs are well groomed. I have been staying with choice hotels for over 15 years and have stayed multiple nights at other locations and have never had this happen. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. Shame on this location. Update to your response.... as a walk in customer, I can assure you I was NOT told this was not a pet/service animal friendly hotel. I would not have stayed. I can assure you the ream did not require a deep clean and we always place a protective blanket on top of the hotel comforter. There is not reason to charge a $250.00 cleaning fee just because of dog hair. I will never stay at this location again, and will assure you I will let everyone in our communities across the country and with other disabled service animal owners to beware.
Absolutely love all aspects of this location from customer service down to comfortablity it's been so nice if there was any issues the service has been amazing (older) kids wanted to swim and there was no concern about safety it's just been such a stress-free environment would definitely recommend 10/10
Truly some of the nicest staff members of any place I've ever stayed and I travel quite a bit. The hotel is immaculately clean, beds are comfortable and very important to me, no weird smells. I have asthma and many hotels use carpet deodorizers that I am highly allergic to. And, to be honest, those are only used because the carpets are dirty and smell. This hotel was clean and perfume free which made my stay very enjoyable. There were a few hiccups, like the outlets tend to be loose so things do not stay plugged in very well. It would be great if those outlets were replaced but that was just annoying and didn't affect our quality of stay. Keep up the great work and your excellent customer service.
This was a rest stop during my 1,700 mile road trip. The location is right off the freeway which is great but it's tucked away on some weird back street. I thought this made it more quiet which was nice. The desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The workout room had filtered water which tasted better than the stuffed tap water and was great to fill you water bottle. The only thing was the 'open 24 hours' workout room smelled terrible, like musty wet mildew. This deterred me from working out. It had a treadmill, an elliptical and a nautilus weight station. The location was close to Sam's Club for supplies and cheap gas and close enough to good restaurants. The room, unlike the fitness center smelled great when I walked in. It was clean and I didn't notice anything off about it. The only bad thing was the shower. I turned on hot water and the water was slightly rust colored. I know running hot water for a while does that sometime but still concerning. I turned the faucet to warm and the water looked better though the water had a funky smell. Just don't drink too much of it.
Do not stay here! Absolutely awful! I'll spare you from the details, but take my word for it! Comfort Inn and Suites across the way is wonderful and well worth the price!
