Quality Inn & Suites - Hotel in Abingdon - 930 E Main St I-81 and Highway 58, USA

This hotel gets plenty of stars for being in an ideal location. Very close to food spots, gas stations, and other stores. The room was decent but there were drawbacks. At times, when we would plug our electronic devices to charge, the plugs wouldn't stay in the socket, which would cause them to partially charge or not charge at all. I am accustomed to a working clock (I'm old-fashioned that way), but I didn't see a way to get the clock fully functional. The bed, and I'm just speaking for me (not my best friend or her son), was slightly too soft, so the sleep wasn't as optimal as I would have liked. As far as the breakfast offered, I wish that there were more carb conscious or vegetarian options available. My best friend and I didn't partake of the breakfast, but her son did have some of the hot items available.

Front desk staff was friendly and professional. The room had a light mothball smell but it was very clean and the layout was great. The beds were comfortable. I set the A/C in my room to a cooler temperature and I didn't really every notice the room get cold but it stayed in a comfortable range. The carpet in the hallways was wrinkled in several places but the carpet looked clean. Breakfast was decent. The person maintaining the food and cleanliness of the breakfast area was amazing. Tables were cleaned as quick as people got up and I never saw a food station go empty. The hotel was definitely a great value compared to others in the area.

We stayed twice. The lobby was very inviting and brightly decorated. Much better than the sterile, drab looking of most other hotels. The first room was clean, comfortable and quiet The bathtub did drain a little slow, but everything was clean. Breakfast was wonderful! Hot, fresh, plentiful and a variety. The staff was amazing, friendly and very polite and knowledgeable. The second night, the room wasn't as clean. The sheets had a hole and the comforter was stained. The carpet had stains as well. Being right next to the ice maker was horrible. The bathroom shower had poor pressure, the head was clogged or just needed to be replaced. The sink didn't shut off, it trickled all of the time. Breakfast was once again wonderful and fantastic people working. Front desk took note of all of the issues in our room, and apologized. I would definitely stay again. Just not near the vending/ice machines.

Second time staying here. This time the bathroom floor was sticky. Front desk staff tried to mop it but still sticky. We had to put down towels. Found hairbands on the floor. Not a clean place. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good but not coming back

Room was satisfactory. Breakfast was great. Not happy they charge an additional fee for using a credit card to pay for the room even though they post this fact on the website. I suspect most people use a credit card to pay for a hotel room,

This was a late stop on a holiday. The room was clean and service was professional. Breakfast was available (although we did not have any due to time). Several other hotels next to it, and this was definitely worth the lower cost.

The room was very clean and breakfast yummy. We just made a quick stop before hiking the AT. The location was very convenient to our spot where we were meeting other friends. Thank you to the friendly team who greeted us. And the Halloween decorations were fantastic!!

Positive: clean room, very soft and comfortable sheets, Great fresh smell. Has one of the best morning breakfasts you will eat at this price range. Has a great cook that really knows how to cook a great country breakfast. Negative: completely satisfied with stay,Thank you.
