We stayed in Mankato Quality Inn on Aug.3, 2024. It was not the best room we have stayed at. We noted bedspread stains. The tub and toilet had not been scrubbed for some time. We had one washcloth but did not notice until shower time in the morning. The electrical outlets were not “tight” enough to hold the plug in place for charging phones and watches overnight. The breakfast area was low on supplies (eggs, cream cheese, peanut butter). No one tended to the area for cleaning or restocking while we ate and that was at 7:30 with more than an hour of serving time remaining. The hot tubs jets were not working . We were not notified of this at check in. No one was at the desk at check out. This has all been shared with Quality Inn on the day of our check out via their email to us checking on our stay. There are many hotels close by to choose from for our next stay.
Never have I stayed in a dump! There was mold on the air conditioner which effected my husband's breathing! The coffee maker was broken, no microwave, no pool towels, hot tub broken. When we brought it up to the front desk they just starred at us. I tried getting a hold of the manager for over a week and finally today got him today. He was so rude and clearly doesn't know what customer service is! Just kept telling me he would bring it to the owners knowledge. I said I wanted a call from the owner and was told no, wanted the owners name and was told it wasn't my business and I didn't need to know. If you want hotel 6 quality then stay their. I filed a formal complaint with Choice directly because this is ridiculous!
During check-in, the registration assistant took out his phone and was aiming it at my credit card and ID while speaking in another language. I could not tell if he was taking pictures, but it felt very shady. Then another man came out of a back room and completed our registration. Our initial room had broken interior locks and a strong mold odor. After requesting a change, the next room lacked the mold smell but had a soiled bedspread (with an unfortunate outline of a woman's nether region...Use your imagination), and yellowed sheets with holes. The bathroom towels were yellow and stained, and the door frame had an unsettling substance. As I exited through the back door of the hotel, a lady warned me about roaches. I slept on my own blanket after stripping the bed linens. Overall, this was the dirtiest hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. It was midnight and we did not feel like hunting for another hotel room at that time, so we slept there against our better judgment.
Only stay here if it is a last resort and you cannot find anything else. In fact, this place actually should be called "Last Resort" instead of "Quality Inn". I was in town for my sister's college graduation so other places were filled up. To start, the check-in process was unnecessarily lengthy. Everything seems very dirty. From the floors to the luggage carts that were falling apart. We swam in the pool for about an hour before bed. It was asthetically pleasing right away but it is filthy. There were no guests in there but there were coffee cups and Gatorade bottles that were sitting in there from who knows when. You could also see visible filth buildup in the hot tub. I wouldn't have used it if it wasn't for my excited 6 year old. I left a note when I left that stated all the maintenance things in my room that needed attention. A clogged shower drain (my shower was in about 3+ inches of water the whole time). The toilet seat was loose. Tissue box empty. Toilet paper area very dirty. I hope they do the right thing and fix that stuff for the next guest. Some towels were stained. It seems they do use bleach for laundry though so the beds were okay and seemed to have clean linens plus the location was nice so I gave 3 stars.
Gross and out dated. Couldn't count on both hands how many things were noticeably broken. The room smelled like stale cigarettes and just generally poor house keeping. Keycard to the room didn't work on the day of checkout. The hot tub could've been a highlight, but it wasn't very hot and ran on a timer that didn't go for very long. Also really did not appreciate them pounding on the door at 11:15am yelling at us to checkout. You think they'd appreciate the idea anyone wanting to stay longer in their filthy dumpster of a hotel.
I would never stay here again! The room we stayed in - a king suite- so many issues… for starters clean sheets but had holes in them, no do not disturb sign for the door (although I noticed other rooms had them out), the coffee maker station had no nearby outlet - the choices were to put it on the floor where the outlet was or bring it into the bathroom where there wasn’t enough space, - no hand towels in the bathroom, no plastic bag for the ice bucket, and the clock was plugged in but did not work, not to mention everything was kind of dirty - there was some mysterious crud on the picture above the couch and the tv and mirrors were cloudy with swipe marks from a damp rag. Use windex people!! For how much we paid - all this was very unacceptable. The only positive thing I can say is that the continental breakfast was decent. We only stayed one night but it was one night too many:(
PLEASE ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS AND DONT STAY HERE!!! I would rate this hotel 0 stars if I could. I never even write reviews but this hotel was so bad. As we were walking up to our room a hotel employee went into our room before us and started spraying febreeze because it smelled so bad. Sadly the febreeze didn't even help. There was boogers all over ALL OF THE WALLS. There where pubes all over the bed. There was vomit or poop all over the toliet. Absolutely disgusting.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Showed up and employees had kids and friends out front playing. I was able to park my vehicle and walk inside and wait almost a minute for him to come in. Then got the nastiest hotel room I've ever seen in person. Told them I'll be getting my money back and went next door. Was worth the extra 50 bucks. Wish it would let's me share the photos I have
