Hotel stay went better than expected as I was hesitant as the area seems to have seen better days, but the hotel was clean, and I didn't have any issues during my stay. The shower was warm and had good water pressure. I thought the bed was very comfortable, and I slept well. The internet was decent, and I didn't have any issues there. I didn't end up trying the breakfast. When I first checked in, my A/C unit in the room wasn't working, but I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked throughout the rest of my stay without issue. Regarding the other reviews, this is a Quality Inn. Quality Inns aren't a 5-star hotel chain. Things may be older or worn, but for a Quality Inn, I thought it was good in comparison, and in some ways better than others I've stayed in. Comparing it to other hotels in this same brand, I thought it was a good stay.

I thought all quality inns were the same as comfort inns. I guess not. One review made a comment about the plushness and quality of bedding. They must sleep on some poor quality bedding because these have a thread count on par with 10 oz canvas. The pillows weren't down. There was no comforter. Just a bed spread. Now that I look closer it looks like the sheets hadn't even been changed. I'm out of here. Maybe they're just stained. I don't know. I don't care. I don't know if you can see it in the photo but there it is. Maybe I'm being too critical. Maybe I looked too closely. They were probably clean sheets that had slight stains. I mean I don't know how you could even use white sheets more than one time without getting some kind of stain on them. But they were without a doubt coarse low thread count sheets. I've owned worse and slept on them. If you sleep on cheap sheets these might be a step up. They refunded my money without any problem. I'm going to go to comfort inn now and see what they are like. Other than that the room was good. The air conditioner was ice cold. So I'm going to upgrade my rating. If I wouldn't have been expecting more it would have been fine. If I would have brought my girlfriend I would have just assumed that it was her dirty feet that put the discoloration on the sheets.

The drink machines were broke and the one that did work "ate" my money. The hotel staff did give me the money back though. Also, the cleaning people would come in my room and remove and replace the towels but NEVER made my bed. When did that become a "thing" to not clean the room. I know since COVID a lot of places don't change the towels unless requested but they did change the towels but didn't make the beds. I was like "what's up with that." The people in the room above me were very noisy even after I called down to the front desk and requested they call the people and let them know. This happened each night I was there and they were noisy from around 7-8pm until almost midnight. Overall the place was okay and I would stay again.

The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The location was perfect for my plans. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the amenities I needed. The location felt safe to me as a solo female traveler. I would stay there again and would recommend it to my friends.

The most questionable hotel I've ever stayed in. It honestly reminds me of a hotel where I stayed in a developing country, and the only hotel in the US where I have felt a strong need to check the mattress for bugs. I'm not sure if the housekeeping staff all quit weeks ago or if this is just the standard level of filth. Dead roaches in the exercise room. Live roach in the bathroom. Ants on the floor. Stained comforter, stained sheets, unswept floor, moisture stains in the bathroom since there is virtually no ventilation, and the room was so muggy that it felt like our bed had been sprayed with water. The only thing that was passable for clean was the shower. I knew I was booking a budget hotel and risking to get what I paid for, but for over $100 per night, I at least expect a clean room. To boot, the smoking area is right outside the front door, and any room facing the front of the hotel has the pleasure of their AC unit circulating the smoke, cigarette or otherwise. The area is unimpressive. Abandoned strip malls, boarded windows and doors everywhere. Slots and clubs are busy. Geographically it isn't far from downtown STL, which is why we stayed here, but feels extremely far removed in a very negative way.

This is a heavy case if "You get what you pay for" The only negative thing I have to say about the hotel itself is that it could be more clean. The pool area looked so dirty that we couldn't stomach swimming in it, which was the ultimate reason we chose this place. Other than that the staff is friendly. The rooms are decent and the water pressure is great. My low rating has actually less to do with the Hotel as it does with the environment it just happens to be in and the type of people that stay here. If you expect to get any rest bring ear plugs. Several guests don't have control over their kids and this is a regular occurrence. The walls are paper thin. People really think because they are lucky enough to have a quiet neighbor they don't exist or more likely they don't care. It's most likely the second. The town of Cahokia is as run down as a former industrial town gets. From homeless to tweakers. I'm nervous parking my car out of sight. There's no businesses open anymore. There's 19 memorial crosses marking crash deaths which is easily observed when you see how people drive around here. If you are unfortunate enough to stay or drive through Cahokia you have to stop by K's Hamburgers in the front corner of the Schnucks parking lot. It's the best burger joint we ever had the pleasure of eating at. It's exactly everything you use to love about a fast food burger joint before they only used cheap questionable ingredients. All in all, nothing personal to the hotel owners, but if you can afford to spend more to avoid the riffraff, it will be worth it. Sometimes there's only so much an owner can do and unfortunately that can't control the environment it's located in.

We stayed last week for a from everyday life and the lady at the front desk was so professional and welcoming!! Hotel was clean and the pool was just right minus the salt water!!! The room was clean I mean detailed clean with plenty of towels and comfy beds!!! We didn't eat any breakfast but we were so impressed with this location and thank you for the quiet peaceful staycation!!!

Had cat issues that caused me to have to stay here. The staff was beyond helpful and very friendly. Made us feel at home. Breakfast not so good but the staff service will make up for that! Pool not busy so you can swim by urself!
