Quality Inn & Suites Matteson near I-57 - Hotel in Matteson - 21050 Matteson Ave, USA

Positive: The hotel is in a nice location. Negative: There wasn't an emphasis on cleanliness or comfort. The bed covering had a big grease spot on it and the owner/hospitality worker for the day thought this was acceptable. I vacuumed the floor myself. I was sore from the mattress, shower head wastes water.

*****Beware***** This property is not suitable for any human being to stay, it is that bad. The sanitary conditions are beyond anything I have ever encountered. The carpets were disgusting and smelled like urine, walls were filthy, sheets were stained and dirty. My wife went to the front desk to ask for clean sheets and was told that we had to wait until the next day at 7:00am for clean sheets. Contacted Choice and they were no help whatsoever. The conditions were so bad that we ended up sleeping in the car, (family of six), and the hotel CHARGED us even though we didn’t stay. If you care about your health and that of your family, stay away from this property. Rude staff as well. FYI if you have issues don’t contact CHOICE as they were not only useless but didn’t do anything but make things worse.

I travel often for business and personal and I must say, this hotel was one of the worst hotels I've seen in a very long time. The hotel is old and has not been maintained well. I reserved a double bed suite, the room was dirty, stains on the carpet and sofa, there was trash on the floor, stains on the walls, the bathrooms were dirty. The list goes on and on. I informed the front desk and requested for my room to be cleaned (as they had no other suites available) and my requests were ignored. I don't recommend staying at this hotel. I requested a refund, the management staff offered me a credit for a future night stay at the property. I will never stay at this property again.

Service was horrible. The room was filthy Soda machine took the money I deposited it. They did not refund the money until the next day, but offer me water out of a faucet.. The bedding, the bedding in the sheets is filthy stains are them stains are on the lamp. I would not recommend this place. I have videos, but I just can’t upload them, but we’ll show the manager when he gets in still waiting on comforters. Places is disgusting

The room was nasty. Little black curly hairs in the sink and tub. Good thing I travel with Dawn dishsoap everywhere I go cause I had to put it to use in the shower before I could shower. There's no way it had been cleaned after the last tenants. The towels were gray colored when supposed to be white. I dried myself with a tshirt. So did my husband. I handwashed a couple washcloths with dawn and the gray color came out. Which tells me they're using cheap detergents if any detergents at all. I don't recommend this hotel. Unless you're ready to clean the room before settling in. Nobody wants to do that.

Pet friendly, clean room, Continental breakfast. Our suite had a bit of a cigarette smell, even though there is no smoking in the building.

Positive: Free breakfast Negative: The sheets were dirty with hair and stains which I had them change immediately. The towels are dingy and raggedy. The comforter looked as if it was sliced by a box cutter. The carpet was disgusting!!

Absolutely awful hotel. So dirty, stains on sheets and pillowcases. We had two rooms and left immediately with our family. We will seek reimbursement asap.
