Quality Inn & Suites Lenexa Kansas City - Featured Reviews (551)
Paid extra $5 for a 'suite'. Comes with a sofa so you can watch tv without crawling into bed. It was filthy; but the bed was nice. The toilet tank would leak so that it wouldn't flush. Take off lid, wiggled float so it filled and when full, it flushed fine and would work fine if used again within 10-15 minutes. We didn't have time for breakfast; but they had a really good crowd the next morning. With no manager at our departure, the worse thing was getting a bunch of emails to see how our stay was, and after advising them on the toilet & sofa, there were no replies. Nada
Walking into the hotel we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of smoke, BO, and what I can only describe as "nursing home smell". The room had the same smell. We found hair on the walls of the shower, grime build up on the amenities, and dirt build up around the air conditioner. Stay away, but if it is your only option, bring a candle, your own towels, and disinfectant spray to feel even slightly comfortable.
First thing when we stepped in, we smelled a foul odor amongst the halls, not sure if they got rid of it or if we got used to it and couldn't notice anymore.
There was also a (blood? It was red) stain on the bed cover that we had mentioned to the manager but didn't do anything about it. There was also an issue that some stuff in the room were moved, told manager, but nothing was done over that either. He was quiet rude and even said, "doesnt metter, you're gonna leave soon either way."
People mention that the pool is great, it's okay at best.
I was admitted to the ICU and they refused to let my husband and 3 kids check in since we have different last names and the reservation was in my name. ICU social worker also called and faxed them a letter stating I was incapacitated and the employee refused to budge. Do not recommend and I will never stay at another Quality Inn. What turned into a vacation turned into me fighting for my life and my family was out of a hotel and had to sleep in the waiting room of the ICU. Super rude as well.
Positive: The staff was very cautious, she was very careful to not share my information out loud as a single female traveling with just my son, she didn?t say my phone number or room number out loud. Negative: The door in my room didn?t lock only the extra security lock worked
On June 22nd I got a call from alex .quality inn.
But I thought it was one of those calls that try to rob you over the phone. my family and I were coming to kansas and we already had a reservation at this quality inn. but this guy alex called me and out of the blue started to tell me that my credit card had not gone through and that I had to give him another card or else he would cancel my reservation. At that moment I did not know what to do, I was driving and could not get out of the freeway and I told him to please give me a moment while I was driving and with a haughty voice that he was not going to wait for me because he had many clients to attend to and that he was not going to waste his time with me.So he hung up on me. and I called back to the hotel and the same alex answered me again. I had to give him my card so as not to lose my reservation since I was coming with my youngest daughters and at that moment I didn't want to keep looking for other hotels because my daughters were tired.
So I decided to stay there, I talked to the manager who is the owner of the hotel and tried to excuse him, that he had a lot of work and that he was having a bad day. after three days no one came to clean the room, they only took out the garbage and changed the towels, and I went down to ask and that alex answered me that they only took out the garbage and changed the towels, I asked and there was the owner and he said that after four days they cleaned the rooms that choice hotel had decided so by order of them. I have never had any problems with other hotels I have booked before. they don't clean because of the covid according to them. the covid has pass 3 year ago .
I am not complaining about the hotel room .just the customer service .not the right way to talk to you .in almost every review I have seen of this hotel everyone to aboit alex for his way of talking to customers I would definitely not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel ....
Got charged extra bc the check in staff wasn’t listening and thought that my husband child and I were staying with the family that came into town. When we got that fixed with a manager the manager turned around and charged our family for a late checkout then couldn’t (wouldn’t) provide a hotel policy showing where they charge for late check out. Will not be coming back and will definitely be contacting the bbb and corporate
Filthy and this was both the first and 2nd room we were moved into. I do not recommend this place! Upon arrival the room we were checked into had a clogged sink, hair on bathroom floor ( a lot), food all over the carpet and shelves. I notified the night service desk person Patty. She inspected the room and presented me with 2 key cards to another room. The second room WAS JUST AS FILTHY! I notified Priceline and was informed to address the issue with the management. So the next morning (after I cleaned the second room myself, there was food left in fridge, dust on surface area, microwave had food splattered in it, carpet not vacuumed, phone and remote control had dirt built up on the buttons) I spoke to a gentleman who was in charge (thinking he was the owner along with his wife) and I informed him of the situation. He stated he would make it right....nothing happened after that.
Great motel! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed linens were so nice, it was difficult to pry myself out of bed the next morning. You can tell the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work.
Breakfast was a nice surprise. Fresh eggs,
