Quality Inn & Suites - Hotel in Kansas City - 1051 N Cambridge Ave, USA

This place is very much a ‘don’t put anything on the bed and don’t take your shoes off’ sort of situation. The pictures online most places are super deceiving so we made sure to take and include some of our own. This entire place smells of cigarette smoke. The side entrance doors appear inoperable, one is shattered, somehow the key box did work. The entire interior and rooms are a disaster. They’re rusting, moldy, broken, and burned. The door locks on both the sliding glass/patio door and main door to the hallway were both broken. Both could have been broken into at any time. The comforter and sheets were covered in cigarette holes/burns. The walls were all visibly dirty to the naked eye. Clearly not dusted, let alone disinfected. The bathroom was rusty and disgusting. We were supplied 2 shower towels and 2 hand towels and that’s it. There’s no shower mat for the tub or for the floor outside the tub. No wash rags. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and the bathroom light flickered constantly. Had every hotel in the city not been booked, we wouldn’t have stayed. It is truly a last resort hotel. And even then I’d be really careful. It’s not a part of town where I’d want to stay without someone who could protect me with all the doors being broken.

HORRIBLE PLACE. Entrance door glass was broken could have easily broken. Hallway smells mildew and stale. Room was not as pictured or described. Beds are horribly uncomfortable. Box spring mattress was very uncomfortable. Bed cover was put on upside down so tag was sticking in your face all night. Supposedly non smoking hotel but there were burn holes in the bed sheet. Pillows were awful, had to go buy pillows as they only brought us 1 extra pillow after requesting 2. Window opened completely and there was no screen or safety mechanism to keep someone from falling out the window. Bathroom was not clean. Rained Sat morning bit cleared off and sunny in the afternoon, front desk said pool was closed cause of rain. No one to clean it but it was completely clean and they refused to open the pool. Boyfriend said he spoke with a cop that was driving through the lot last night just to basically make police presence known. Couldn't get over half of the TV channels they said were available. Select few were available. Didn't shower as bathtub was disgusting. Will not stay here again. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Rooms clean but dated. Commode was not tightened to the floor and wobbled, Shower curtain rod was coming off on one side Phone in the room did not work. Comforter had cigarette burns in a non-smoking room.Pool closed the past 3 day. Wasn’t happy!!! Staff very nice!!! Breakfast would be better if the had more than pancakes an few danishes an tiny muffins. Coffee was great. I would stay one more time to see if they fix the issue.

Pure entertainment, interaction with the clerk / owner: ID and deposit, purely transactional all business, no greeting or welcome could care less. Someone ran into the upper canopy of the front wrecked damaged. Legacy property well beyond useful life. Fire doors corridors all propped open / chalked, fire would quickly spread the entire property and burn down or smoke spread, inn keeper does not understand fire safety or security. Thus sprinklers hope they work? Entry from bld to pool all no-re-entry ? Leaving you stuck or potential safety issue. Pool gate not latching. Pool very clear water but very too frigid to enjoy. Mixed up maze to easily find access your room. One outside access point no reader torn off the wall locked entrance. Would be embarrassed to claim ownership of this run down property!

Front desk customer service could've been better. Property is in terrible condition as well as the room. My non-smoking room has a terrible smell that just wouldn't go away. I would've checked out but didn't want to waste my money on a no refund reservation. Definitely would never return. Sorry property management for this rough critique. It's just how my experience was.

I should have read the reviews before staying here. As a diamond member I was hoping for a little better. Very rude front desk. $100 deposit. If you put it on a card it will take a week to get back. If you pay cash, you get it when you check put. No telephone in my room. No toilet paper holder (just a roll on the back of the toilet cover) Hair dryer is missing. There are ants along the far wall. No bed bugs, thankfully. Beds are clean, no smells. Remote control has batteries, lol. A few people roaming the parking lot and a few more sitting/sleeping in cars in the back of the parking lot. Always be aware of your surroundings. I would not stay here again.

If I could rate this horrible horrible hotel 0 stars I would. This place needs to be condemned. Like never in my life have I seen a worse hotel. Outside looks very run down. Considered not even checking in but decided to give it a try. Got to the room and bathtub was black, floors were dirty, pee stains on the beds. Cigarette burns on the comforter. Fingernail clippings, teeth flossers, and hair underneath mattress. AC also did not work at all. I’m sure they had bed bugs. We stayed there just long enough to book a different hotel because there was no way we were staying there. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The worst hotel I ever stayed in. Then they acted like they didn't comprehend English or needed a translator when I spoke to them about over charging my card. Then everything in the hotel was dirty and had water damage. Carpet dirty, walls dirty and they had roaches. I have pictures and videos of the hotel and bugs. Not to mention I accidentally left my blanket there with pictures of me and my kids on it and they claim I didn't when I know it was sitting on the bed. They said they will go look but I know they didn't because t's in plain sight. What are y'all going to do with a blanket they got pictures of me and my kids on it, let me know.
