Quality Inn & Suites Canon City - Featured Reviews (701)
I’m so impressed with the staff at this hotel in Canon City, from the manager, to the front desk personnel, to the housekeepers, everyone was extremely helpful! We had an issue with our key not working during arrival. The manager met us at our room door, had new keys made and delivered them to us, all in a few minutes! The rooms were clean and well stocked! My boys loved the poolside room and had a blast swimming for a few hours! The breakfast was simple but delicious!!! Everything met our expectations! Above all, what truly stands out is how kind and accommodating the staff was!! We will definitely stay here again when we’re in the area and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Canon City! Keep up the great work…we appreciated everything the staff did to make our stay enjoyable and extra special!
Positive: It was clean, the staff were nice and they have a pretty good free breakfast. More than just pastries and coffee. They have scrambled eggs, 2 waffle makers - so fresh waffles, biscuits and gravy or home fries (depending on the morning plus more items. Negative: The place can use some upgrades. The hairdryer barely blew any air. Luckily I brought my own. I've noticed this same issue in other Hotels/Motels as well.
Positive: Breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly Negative: The management needs to make sure they have working laundry machines. They have two sets completely across the building (big building). One set had a broken washer, one a broken dryer. It was a mess hauling wet clothes through the hotel.
Nice staff, terrible room. We saw and smelled much of what other reviewers have- the musty smell from the days when people smoked cigarettes indoors (the carpeting looks very original and has a good 50+ years of stains), mystery stains everywhere that you don’t want to know the origins of, broken bathroom door, etc. We didn’t smell weed anywhere, but definitely smelled the age of the place. Haven’t tried the pool and based on other reviews, I don’t feel safe having my kids try it. My family tossed and turned all night from the uncomfortable beds, awful pillows, and noises everywhere all night (the walls are extremely thin and there’s a hole in the frame of the sliding glass door to outside, which does not lock). Grateful we only stayed the one night, would not stay again. Definitely the worst Quality Inn we’ve stayed at, so we know this isn’t the standard. The staff is really nice, but as I currently have a migraine from the painful pillows and my family’s on edge from lack of sleep, niceness isn’t enough to raise the score or have us return. If it weren’t for the staff, I’d have given it one star.
Positive: The rooms were clean and the breakfast was amazing. Negative: There were people leaving their shopping carts hidden in the bushes and it looked like at least 2-3 doors had been broken to enter. The inside was great, once you got in.
We broke down and had to stay 2 nights longer than expected. The staff was sp great and helpful. The rooms were clean. The rates very reasonable...we paid a lot more on Colorado Springs for a dump. Highly recommend
Service at check in was terrible. Waited in the lobby for our room to be cleaned for over an hour. Receptionist was of no help and often overwhelmed. While I sat there...I over heard SEVERAL patrons come up to the deck to complain of issues, including a handicapped man who couldn't fit in his bathroom cause doors were too small. Won't be back...shoulda opted for the nice end of town.
I have to tell ya, they advertised a room for $79.00, got my room for $109.00. This hotel really does need to be refurbished. Black mold on the ceiling rm 113, toilet problems in rm 119 and the bathroom floor, rm 113, was all sticky. But the beds were nice, the TV was small, I guess I could let that go. The windows on the sliding doors looked like it had rained and the a huge dust bowl came through. And to top it off they only had one person on duty to run the whole show this night, 06/13/2024. But she did her best to help every one, nice lady. If I owned the choice hotel chain I wouldn't want this hotel in my chain.
I stay here about 4 or 5 times per year because I stay exclusively at Hilton properties. My colleagues stay in springs because they don't like this location. They think I'm crazy for staying there but it's very convenient. Now this stay there were n

An eclectic gift shop, clothing store, and fun shopping experience located in the heart of Cañon City. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the events and happenings in the area, and we left with maps and suggestions for things to do on f
Great 1.5 mile hike on the Royal Gorge Overlook Loop with just as good of views of the Royal Gorge as the park without the cost. The most scenic hike I've been on.
