Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Lobby was big and tastefully decorated. Room was typical for a mid price hotel. We appreciated the grab bar right outside the tub. Bathroom is small - hardly any room by the sink for toiletries. There was a basketball tournament going on in town so there were a lot of high school and junior high teenagers there but we did not hear them in the hallways. Breakfast was fine for me as I only need some toast, but my husband said the eggs were not appetizing. A nice place to sit by the pool. Did not find an ice machine that I would like to have had as I like my drinks very cold. We stopped by the bar. Friendly bartender there as well. They serve beer and wine only. No mixed drinks. We did not eat there so I cannot speak to the food. Our only real complaint is that there is nothing such as shopping within walking distance. There was a fitness center but we did not use it as we were at the hotel for less than 24 hours. We would stay there again.
The hotel is okay, not the worst I’ve ever stayed at but not the best. Beds were comfy and good water pressure in the bathroom. It was a good pool for kids cause it only goes up to 3ft but it was not clean and the kids came out with hair on their goggles and the water was foggy plus it’s not heated like it says it is. The place isn’t the cleanest but they did block off rooms for us so I wont complain about service. The best part of the stay was their continental breakfast.. lots of options for food, and drinks. Overall I wouldn’t choose it first but I’d stay there again if I had too.

I had been traveling all day from early early morning..and get to the hotel. I get my room and just want to relax.there is a pool in the middle of the inside with rooms surrounding it (what moron thought that was a good design?!! ) I was put by the elevator and by the ice maker which I HATE BOTH. Being so tired I thought no big deal. WRONG! Children were screaming and running through the halls . I went down for a late dinner (only good thing was Italian restaurant attached) I asked to be moved and was refused! I asked how late the pool closed and was told 9! I came back at 9:45 and it was still in FULL swing. I asked again to be told he told them to leave. At 10 it finally quieted down! | As for the shower …there was no HOT water. I let it run at least 10 min and was barely warm…again was told they were sold out. | I stay in hotels every week for work and this was the absolute WORST in 36 years…the main reason I picked this hotel because it was less than 10 min from where I needed to be on Saturday. ||So…. If you want LOUD…kids running up and down and screaming until 10 at night then stay here. I get the kids were having fun but this design of this hotel was INSANE !||I would have given it a zero |Front desk guy was rude too… could have cared less I was upset
Let's set some expectations here. This is not a Hilton or a Marriott, but you are also not paying for that level of experience either. Common areas- this hotel could use an update or refresh, it's definitely throwing 70/80s vibe. There is an indoor courtyard area with vending machines and pool, many hotel rooms overlook this courtyard. Breakfast is by the courtyard and there are many options, I think it runs 7-9, but it was open before and after breakfast hours for coffee access. The gym is efficient with several usual gym machines, you can easily do a basic workout. They use a weird cleaner which makes the hallways have a weird smell, they should change to a more acceptable smelling cleaner like fabuloso. The cleanliness of the common areas in the hotel was lacking, they need to step that part up. Parking is surface level and free, there are a ton of spots. Rooms-my room was on the third floor overlooking interior courtyard. It had the basic motel type ac that worked well but was loud. The room was dated but both the room and linens were clean. I heard some noises from the courtyard but not crazy loud and I heard nothing from the hallway. The shampoo and conditioner were TINY and generic, so if you care about that bring your own. If you run out you can always ask the front desk and they have extra little bottles. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall it was an ok stay for the price, it's not a resort, but it's an ok place to crash if you are driving through or working in the area.
Such a wonderful time there at the Iowa State Button Society show. Comfy rooms and very nice convention area. Very accessible. Only thought is to provide a bench out front for early coffee drinkers. Wonderful breakfast. ||Appreciate Rochelle who knows how to get things accomplished with a great smile on her face. What a treasure.
the pillows didnt have variety, only soft feather which i cannot use during the summertime, the A/C unit in 243 doesnt keep the room cool during the night, stayed 80+ most of the night, breakfast was standard, the pool and breakfast area were nice. the lobby was beautiful for a choice hotel. was taken by suprise by that actually. The desk Lady Kathy was very nice and very very helpful.
There is odd smell in the lobby and hallways. They lock the ac units and while it says 65 the ambient room temp is at 74 or higher when the unit shuts off. The showers are set barely at 5'5". The drain for the tub barely works and you stand ankle deep in water. The price is at least $100 more than many better hotels. Do not stay here unless you're desperate.
