The bed was so comfortable, I didn’t want to leave it! The pillows were great-no neck pain for this side sleeper. And the sheets/pillowcases were so soft with the down blanket being the perfect weight. Loved the fridge in our room, too! It was quiet and comfy and fed me breakfast-can’t ask for much more than that traveling on the road for Thanksgiving. We will keep this one for future travels north!
Positive: Very nice room, very clean. The staff kept the breakfast well stocked and warm. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care the hotel was maintained and it's comfort. The shower water pressure was wonderful and the stay was an overall excellent.
Positive: The location was perfect for us. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The pool was perfect, clean and large enough to exercise in, which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The bed was comfortable Negative: The shower, even though it had bars and a seat was slippery. The breakfast was a little sparse. The fitness room would have been nicer if there was a bike in it. The internet connection was not strong.
Forty miles outside of Lexington KY sits this little hotel. The service is excellent. The staff was very helpful, and polite. The breakfast was your typical scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and whatnot. It was good. There isn't much in the way of food around here, so the breakfast was just right. The skyline in the morning was gorgeous, and despite being right off a major roadway, it's quiet. A solid place to lay your head down, weary traveler.
Positive: It was convenient, clean, friendly and funny staff, kids had fun in the clean and warm pool. Breakfast was typical continental bfast at a hotel, but was good and fresh. I¿d stay here again. Negative: I can¿t think of anything negative.
We stayed two nights in this hotel and it was good for our needs. The room was modest size, but well lighted and the bed was comfortable. Room included a fridg and microwave. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was a little disappointing, but they did include hot sausage.
Needed a two room overnight returning to SC. Booked on the fly and the staff getting us into our rooms was excellent as were the rates. The rooms for an economy hotel were updated and the beds and linens clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast was simple and adequate with warm and cold options. This town is dry so getting a beer after a long days drive was a bit of a challenge.
Night desk clerk was great, humorous and efficient. Reasonably priced, clean rooms, felt secure and safety was apparent, breakfast included. Highly recommend.
The staff was excellent. I understand there are new owners, and the night auditor was very helpful and informative, and she made very good coffee! Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would return to this hotel again. We really enjoyed th

Absolutely love this place! The girls who run the shop are the sweetest people I have ever met! They always remember me and great me so kindly. I will never buy candles from anywhere else.

A 2 mile trail. 1 mile out and then you turn around and come back. Beautiful and paved. A perfect walk right next to the creek and a field of flowers with views of the mountains.
We loved our hike here. We were in the area from hiking at Red River Gorge and stopped on our way home. The views from Eagles Nest and Indian Fort Lookout were awesome!! So worth your time and energy.
