Beautiful hike and not a lot of bugs. A couple really nice lookout points and it’s very well maintained. I will definitely be coming back!
I will say, this is probably not the most beautiful hike you will find in the region, but it is cool and unique. The ecosystem is very distinctive and the whole preserve has a pretty neat atmosphere. I would recommend going in the fall if you're looking for a quiet, slightly spooky walk.
Beautifully secluded and off the beaten path. Short walk from car to water. Wheelchair friendly if you don't mind unpaved paths. We saw a beautiful pair of Peliated Woodpeckers very close to the path on lower trunks of trees, totally ignoring our presence. Pond is lovely, last summer it had two rocking chairs on the platform to sit and watch the goings on. Total peace & quiet. Added photos from late July 2021 walk just day or two after a big rain. Fungi galore. What a beautiful place!
An Old Mission Peninsula gem with a short hiking trail with universal access to two observation decks that offer great birdwatching. No facilities. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Traverse City.
A gorgeous and lovely place to walk. They are working on updating the trail and making more accessible walkways. Highly recommend walking after a rainy day — we even heard a Bard Owl!!
We have visited 3 times since 2018. It has been great to see the improvements! I’m so sad the rocking chair is gone from the deck. I always felt like I was sitting on someone’s back porch. Will definitely continue to visit!
Nice little trail. Side trails and dock were inaccessible because lake water levels have been high the last few years. Trail was soft in a few spits but there were clear work arounds. I was told by a local there are plans in the works to redo the dock. I look forward to seeing that.
Very nice short hike. 0.6 mile loop. It rained the night before. Ground was spongy but easily walkable. But the boardwalks are being replaced or repaired.

Stopped by here on a whim after dinner to take a walk, at first glance I thought it was going to be nothing but it ended up being a boardwalk through some trees with a beautiful lake at the end. It was really fantastic.
Edit: I was mistaken as the owner noted and updated my single 4/5 segment to 5/5. We incorrectly assumed having our boxed dessert and bill paid that our food had not been saved and we didnât want to cause a fuss in front of others or seem to be ask
I came to Harvest after moving here from Tennessee 4 years after my husband past. Love that they preach the Word and have a wonderful worship service. I felt so welcomed and Blest. Thank you for being so welcoming and helpful to me.
It is a great place to workout. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and eager to assist with questions. The members are generally down to Earth and not pretentious. People of all body types workout there, and there is no perceived judgments.
I've been to Playa Bowls twice now - once for dine-in and once for takeout - and I must say, their bowls are fresh and tasty! Also, they offer a free water station, which is always appreciated. When the weather is nice, the window wall opens up, cre
I am very pleased to have gone into the store today. The woman who helped me curate my reading list was a pleasure to work with. She was very knowledgeable and personable. My next few book purchases will be made using the list we came up with. I will
Cody our budtender was GREAT! He was so friendly and inviting for a first time experience, he was the perfect fit. He took his time to explain every product and the deals were top tier! Definitely will be back! Worth the drive.
Delicious store baked scones. The best! And the best coffee as well as friendly fast service. My go to for a coffee. I love the cozy, welcoming atmosphere.
First time in. Couldnât be happier with the staff. Great people - attentive if that matters to you. Perfect tenders choice pics. For me it the smiles and happiness around. Priced more than right to purchase it all and support the growing industry.
Great spot â takeout only located in a small building. Clean and updated. Open-kitchen concept. Food was great! Pay attention to the spiciness rating, not to be ignored. Itâs great having an option in TC with such unique flavors. The thrice coo
