Purple Parrot - American restaurant in Reno - 3800 S Virginia St, USA

The Purple Parrot is more upscale than I initially thought! The service is impressive. One staff member took our drink order, another took our food order, and another staff member brought out our food and condiments. For brunch, I ordered a mimosa. Hands down, the BEST mimosa I've ever had. The orange juice tastes like it's freshly squeezed. I ordered the ham and cheese omlette with hashbrowns with a side of pancakes. The pancakes are not too sweet, more savory, which I really like. The cheese on the omlette tastes like 100% cheddar cheese and the ham is very juicy. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. All the ingredients taste very FRESH. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. This will be my new brunch spot!

I did not want to wait in the buffet line, so decided to try Purple Parrot. No wait and the food was a lot better then I expected and fast! My western cheeseburger was delicious and cooked med rare like I wanted and my friends Club was awesome!

These pancakes are absolutely delicious. I love them! Every time I am in the area, I stop in to get some. The staff were great but need more training on gluten-free options on their menu. I almost left after a staff member said the menu has and don't have them anymore. I ask one more person on the way out, and they confirm they do have them still. I highly recommend trying them out for yourself!

It’s a good spot to grab food anytime of day. I ordered the NY steak and eggs. The steak was delicious and the server will come around to refill your drinks. The vibe is nice with the seats for comfort. The price is a bit high.

Best omelette I've ever had. I exchanged hash browns for 🍓 fruit. It was a veggie omelette...added swiss cheese. It was so good. Service was outstanding. Also won a jackpot that paid for my breakfast 🥞🍳 Felt fabulous. The breakfast was around 35 $ for 2

The food was quite fresh, maybe patty but dry or underseasoned but cooked well. It's great to have options on holidays when all else is closed. Staff was friendly, french fries were delicious. I went for basic cheeseburger and was wishing had ordered something more adventurous, however I can't complain as food was cooked well think more the product. Or seasoning. I would recommend, the prices, staff and service I liked. The prices were quite reasonable and had a variety of option I simply wanted a burger since haven't been eating fast food much lately.

We weren't impressed. Stayed overnight, the room was great! The restaurant wasn't so much. Very nice atmosphere, but the food was cold. I had Ceasar salad with charbroiled chicken (the chicken was cold). If I had known it was going to be served cold I would have asked for it to be heated, or left off. My partner had scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns. None of it was hot, and was just barely warm. I don't think I would eat here again, or at least would be more diligent in asking questions for clarification of how some of the food is served, and not accept un-hot breakfast.
