Drove past this place so many times on the interstate, I always knew this rock was so special, it looks like a huge rock castle. Finally decided to take my dog. Hiked around the hill and up to the summit- it's a good climb. The rock formations are amazing once get to the top- the trail actually cuts to the right and keeps going. It's a nice look out. I will say if you are 40ish and older, or out of shape at all, you will feel this hike hard the next day. The hike isn't too long, just a bit intense. Again though, the rocks at the top are pretty epic.

Awesome hike! Dog friendly, runner friendly, biker friendly, family friendly. Not ADA accessible. Definitely bring water, a hat and good walking/hiking shoes. It's a little harder than an easy hike. The beginning is a standard trail and near the tip, the trail gets more steep. My 7 year old did it with no issues! Gorgeous views of Colorado Springs! Worth the hike. It is about 2.5 miles round trip :)

I looooove the nature here on Pulpit Rock in Colorado Springs. Love the plants and lovely walking paths.. so beautiful and peaceful! When we take the time to examine the beauty of the world around us, we are able to see parallels within our own lives. One who in tune with nature is in tune with the practice of living. Nature moves in a spiral as do our personal lives. It is important to spend time in nature because in this way we can become aware of its wisdom. If we ignore the beauty of nature and spend all our time in an urban jungle, our stress levels go up and we begin to feel as if we are made out of the concrete that we see all around us.

Hiked twice during Christmas week. First time went up the middle. Nice semi vertical climb. Got to top in very short time. Some slippery loose sand and rocks. Difficult for younger kids. Second hike followed trail around the base and climb was a little easier. Had kids ages 6-15. Slippery sand and rocks had to take it slow for younger kids but no problem for older kids. Dogs did fine. Great views. Everyone had a great time.

Really awesome traversing around the trails in the park. There is a 4 mile loop in addition there are trails throughout. Trails could be marked better for 1st timers like us but we just followed some people that knew the area and made our way to the top. It is a breathtaking experience once up there. Somewhat difficult trek for those who are not so nimble as can get a little steep and slippery. The views are amazing. It's a great time with family and friends.

Visually stunning views an easy hike to the top with some climbing. Not too crowded an pretty quiet, overall it's a beautiful location ^-^

Cool little hike... great for kids as it's not so difficult. Saw a, just one, snake. My girl freaked out but dont let that stop you. I could see there were more trails to be hiked and you can go all the way up to pulpit rock but we did not venture too far up due to fact we had the kiddo with us and it was about 90°. Definitely will return to get to the top.Check it out for yourselfs...

My bride and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It took a lot to coordinate a wedding and therefore didn’t get to spend as much time as we wanted to at Chateaux as we wanted but the evenings were filled with romance due to the ambiance of the house. Th
