Kids love this park! Can’t ask for more. A full playground, a train that you can ride around the park, a carousel, and a concession stand! During the warmer months there’s boats and other activities that we weren’t able to do, while visiting during January but there’s still a good amount of attractions for kids of younger ages. Park is extremely clean, staff is friendly. A good place to come and take a stroll too. Dogs can’t come into the playground area but it would be a nice place to walk them around the pond.
a beautiful place to walk around… the train ride was $2/person - if you go during the week, the wait isn’t long at all. the big swans are picture worth as well. the playground looked great, but we didn’t have anyone with us to test it!
We had such a good time at Pullen Park. I enjoyed riding in a paddle boat; you will see beautiful scenery around the park while paddling. There’s no long wait on weekday afternoons. The park offers many attractions for kids and families, including carousels, a train, paddle boats, and playgrounds. There are also some picnic areas, or you can enjoy walking around, and tickets are not expensive.
The park is beautiful and I'm absolutely in love with the cypress trees around the grounds. However, one really big problem that we encountered is that there was music playing over a loud speaker. I imagine that for most kids, that would be fine. Unfortunately for us, my daughter is autistic and music triggers meltdowns. It's a sensory thing. We were trying to walk to the park area to see if we could get her to play a little bit, and as we got closer to the music she got upset and we had to leave. It took over an hour to calm her down. I know that our experience isn't normal, but it would be amazing if more places considered children that aren't neurotypical and maybe could skip the music or have sensory friendly days or times without it. It's so hard to go anywhere outside of our home and parks are usually a safe place. I don't imagine that we'll be back because of this. That being said, it's a lovely little park and I think most kids would really enjoy it.
Had a lovely experience at Pullen Park over Labor Day weekend. We were able to ride the train, carousel and Kiddie boats. The cost is $2 per ticket and it's easiest to use your smartphone to buy tickets in advance. There are several different playground areas all designated to fit different ages. Gorgeous flowers and plants. Beautiful landscaping. They also have paddle boats for rent and a nice walking trail around the lake.
Great place just on the outskirts of Raleigh. Perfect for a family outing, picnic, or date. Train ride was quick but worth the 2 dollars. Food was a fair price and left me satisfied. I would recommend over many other parks.
Very pleasant park to stroll through and enjoy all of the trees; there was a great variety. The paths were easy to navigate and it wasn't crowded at all during the week. I was also impressed by how clean the park was; it looked well-maintained.
The best park with the cutest train and carousel. We loved the huge lawns and all of the trees and flowers that are there. There is a sand feature in the children’s play area where you can bring sand toys and the different play structures cater to all ages. We loved it here!
I recently hiked the Sycamore Trail in William B. Umstead State Park and I highly recommend it! It is a 7.2 mile loop trail that is moderately challenging, but not too strenuous. The trail winds through a variety of terrain, including forests, meadow

My kids love this place and we frequently bike here for sunsets at the top of the hill. Also they think the trash burn off constant flame pipe is cool. Great place for pics and the playground is fairly new. Convenient to bike to off the Neuse River t

SUPER COOL LITTLE PARK!!!! Was very pleasantly surprised by this little park! Wow, did they ever utilize their space well! In such a small area, they have a community center building, an awesome playground area, a pond with a walking path around it,
I asked my girlfriend to marry me at the gazebo, right before the great snowstorm of January 2022. It was a wonderful and special day. And very cold, so much so that we couldnât stop laughing. In many ways the story of our love and lives together i
This will be my go-to box when I come back to Raleigh. The second I walked in the coach was very welcoming, and everyone made me feel like I was hanging out with friends at my box in Washington. On top of how at home I felt, the layout was perfect al

Bryan Griffin is flat out one of my favorite people in the art. Talented beyond explanation and just a really nice guy. Anytime I'm ever close to Raleigh, I'll be heading into their school.
Yum! I got the cold brew and it was rich and robust and creamy without the need for milk or creamer to be added! I also nabbed the last croissant for the day and it has a lovely texture and flavor. Service was polite and the place felt clean. I enjo
