Puffin Cafe - Restaurant in Washougal - 14 S A St, USA

Had a great time here with my family, for a casual lunch. Delicious fish and waffle fries. The margarita was adequate. The bathroom has cute and funny decor. The view was great being right on the water and watching boat and jet ski activity. Our server was casual, hip, and friendly. The only weird thing about this place is that it rocks because it is on the water, and we got a touch of motion sickness, but nothing terrible. If you’re very sensitive to boat movements, don’t go here though — the movement would get to you.

We came for drinks & appetizers on a hot day. Had seafood and chips/salsa/guac. Mango-coconut salsa was good; guac was ok. Seafood was bomb:) Server was terrible. So put out and it wasn't even busy in between lunch & dinner. They need to somehow provide better service.

What a cool location for a restaurant. We discovered it last year and finally had a chance to try it out. Our server was terrific, the food was good, and you can’t beat the location. Lots of fun.

This restaurant is so unique and in a very beautiful location. I find it so much fun to be on a floating house munching on our meal. The service was friendly and the price them to be slightly expensive. We had fish tacos, clam steamer, fish, and chips. The steamer was delicious. I didn't care for my fish tacos due to the very blended tastes, and not many flavors it also has a very funky aroma. As for the fish and chips, the fish was fresh but very dried due to being overcooked. I like the fact that it has outdoor and indoor seating. They also have a dock area for jet skis or boats to dock in was kind of neat!

Who doesn't love a good drink, good food and watching people launch their boats lol. The owner and her staff are so incredibly friendly and the service has been quick and top notch this year. The drinks are what I call actual drinks.... not mostly mix but actual alcohol. The coconut shrimp and the fish and chips are our favourite!

Great little place to hang out on the river. I wish it were a little further from the boat ramp. I’d rather have a better view of the river rather than people launching and retrieving their boats. I also find a little bit strange that the main door has a sign on it that says “do not enter.” Other than those minor complaints, I really like this place. It’s small and cozy. The decorations are fun and summer-y. The service was great. I really liked my server. I wish I could remember her name. She was very friendly and attentive. You can pull your boat or your PWC right up to the restaurant and tie up on the dock. That’s a lot of fun. And of course, you are right on the river. And you do have a decent view of the river. I didn’t eat anything so I can’t really speak about the quality of the food. Overall, I would visit this place again. It’s a perfect stopover for grabbing a beer on a hot summer day.

If you like watching marina traffic this is a good spot to enjoy a beverage or meal. The place is small so there's not a lot of seating especially outside. The drinks and good were ok. The soup may be the stand out dish. Plenty of seafood on the menu.

The halibut fish tacos were fantastic, almost difficult to eat because the piece of fish in each Taco was SO big. Service was awesome, the young lady was very nice and attentive. Great atmosphere for watching the boats come into the marina and docking area... always entertaining!
