Pueblo Viejo - Mexican restaurant in Lapeer - 325 E Genesee St, USA

The food was good, maybe a bit mild. The portions were generous. Overall, the place was clean with a nice, spacious atmosphere. The service was excellent; thank you!

This was the second time we dined at Pueblo Viejo. Our first experience was good, the service was acceptable and the food was good. We met friends for dinner last Friday evening and what a change. The service was substandard, the server was slow and somewhat confused and required a second server to assist. Once the food arrived it was barely warm and tasted bland. Maybe I'm too critical but I expect more for a $40 meal.

I like "Authentic" Mexican food so I order as such. However, they do have Tex-Mex and other styles of Mexican food on the menu. There is a great atmosphere for adults later in the evening with speciality drinks and sports viewing. It is very kid friendly during the day. The food is served hot and exactly the way you ordered. The Salsa Verde is YUM!

First time visiting last night. The service was excellent. Sylvia was friendly, polite, and on top of everything that we needed. The food was good although not very hot. We were a table of 4, and 2 of us received our meals a few minutes before the other 2 did. Will definitely be back.

I went around 12:30 on a Friday and the host seemed to be a bit distracted (not by customers). The waitress was really nice but didn't completely know the menu. Since the lunch menu didn't show meat choice I asked what kind of meat will be in the food I ordered. She said it will be all chicken and it wasn't. The enchiladas and tamales are great!The tostada was overfilled and ratio was completely off.

The food was amazing. When you sit down, you get warm tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa is full of flavor, but I feel like it could be a bit thicker. My waitress, I believe her name was Lexy, was so kind and friendly. She suggested food to me that turned out to be the best I've had in a long time (chicken fajitas). I will be going back for a cold drink and warm food.

Our waitress was very efficient and attentive to our needs. The food was fresh and hot (pun intended!) Value is great on Taco Tuesday!

This is a fantastic place to eat authentic Mexican food. The food is incredible, fresh, and tastes great. Love the warm chips and mild and hot salsa offered. I had the fajitas which were out of this world. Large enough portion for two people. There are specials all during the week too, I attached a picture.
