I’m a Florida native and I’ve NEVER seen roaches inside of any Publix location from down in Key West all the way up to the panhandle locations. I spotted a HUGE cockroach in the bread isle and immediately found a manager who didn’t even bother to look at where the roach crawled back into so they could at least clean and treat that spot. He said “we have pest control here weekly so I’ll make sure they focus on this area” and “thanks for letting us know”. It was no big deal for him at all then I see him standing around talking to other staff and didn’t even bother to address the very disgusting issue that I just brought to his attention. PUBLIX DO BETTER AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS DISGUSTING AND FILTHY LOCATION!!!
I just visited the Lehigh Acres, Florida store and found a very clean, well stocked grocery store. There is ample parking and access to the store is complimented by the large crosswalk. I would have given the store five stars but I was disappointed that not one associate greeted me until I got to the cash register. Every other Publix I had ever been to it seems the associates greet you as soon as they see you. I passed several stock personnel and two managers and none of them even acknowledged my existence despite me catching their eyes. As this was the only issue, I will return to this store again on my future quarterly visits. Keep up the good work.
This is a relatively small publix, especially for the large community it serves, & it can get very crowded at peak hours, but otherwise it is your usual publix spot. Great subs, very nice employees (Many of them bilingual), and competent pharmacy staff. Products are stocked in their correct spots, and usually everything is in stock.
Nice clean place, People help you when needed. Fresh fruit, meat and produce. Not like at some win dixie stores where chicken packs are blown up with air, color of meat is bad from being old and not taking out of case. Out of date dates. Great subs. Pharmacy is great and very helpful.
God Bless
Would rate 0 if I could. Worst Publix I’ve ever been to. Unprofessional, understaffed in the deli department and the ladies making my subs were so overworked they started intentionally being slow. Waited in line for over an hour and took 20 minutes to make two subs that weren’t even what I wanted. Waste of time and money
Very clean and great service. Some of the best food I've ever had out of a supermarket. ☮️ From Philly
Tonight I went to Publix in Lehigh Acres Florida and purchased a turkey sub costing $8.49 and a bag of lemon cookies costing $3.49 total being $11.98 with $.55 tax the total was $12.53, I didn't have a $10.00 bill so I gave her a $20.00 bill and 3 one dollar bills, she knew it was a $20.00 bill and 3 one dollar bills, but typed in $13.00 instead of $23.00 and wanted to give me 47 cents, change, I said you own me another $10.00, she knew that, but was lost with how to do it. Ended up she gave me 2 cents change. Publix owes me $10.45, for me to shop Publix again I need my due money.
EDIT: Henry, the pharmacy leading supervisor, was racially discriminating guest while I was in line with his partner Natalie, she and him were discussing "immigrants that come here and try to get medications that are controlled substances." Another quote on quote "I'm sick and tired of these immigrants coming here and expecting us to fill controlled substances for them, I'll send them away, I'll send them off, I'm not doing it and I'm tired of them coming here, it was nothing like this at my older store."
Spoke with the general manager of the Publix store, he said he didn't really think that was discrimination, or racial, I will proceed to write to corporate, both of my parents were born here in New York, and so was I, local to Florida the day I was born. Full legal citizen, but this has got to stop, if this is how you run your pharmacy, and your store, you're going to have much bigger issues to deal with when it comes to a place where "shopping is a pleasure"
DO NOT GO TO THIS PUBLIX, OBVIOUSLY THEY ARE FINE WITH DISCRIMINATION, AND THINKING THAT IMMIGRANTS SHOULD NOT BE GOING TO "THEIR" STORE.
That is just plain vile, even when you think nobody can hear you, someone is always listening.
