If I just moved here 3 years ago, wait I did! This place reminds me of where I met my wife when she was bartending in Kennett Square PA. The cool thing about Kennett is the diversity, and this place gets a mixed crowd, and even though my wife worked in the more urban side of Kennett as opposed to the main strip, and I guess you could say that for this place, but it's right across from the post office. I live near keego and can walk there, and you may see someone with a tattoo on their face, and everyone is nice and treats you like family. One guy brings Popeyes Chicken you can eat for free, and everyone is open minded, the bartender is ultra friendly and quick and you won't spend any money. None. Just leave a nice tip. During the day time if you want to watch the news and converse with an older crowd who have been going there before norm went to cheers. You are in their living room, the guests, but when the bartender opens them up you can learn a lot about Oakland County and the owner might be there! Everyone kind of minds there own business, but will be cool if you are. Not as intimidating as the area might seem at night, it's a nice area, I live right next to keego and I walk there. Good pregame. I like to get lost in a crowd of strangers, so that's why only 4 stars. Sometimes only cash.
I like the bar it’s self, but the older bartender lady is VERY rude. She’s gotta go, she’s ruining the once fun atmosphere.
Was in town from Wisconsin for a Slayer concert. It was a great place for a great time. Nice friendly people who treated us good and it felt like home. Definitely thinking of going back just to hangout. It's worth the 6hr ride
“Wellllll this is a bar, if you need water you have to leave.” This a a statement Ive NEVER heard from a bar mainly because it is illegal. Been coming here for years for the atmosphere and darts alone but I guess Im not allowed to drink water at this bar. Showed up an hour before close, I understand the frustration.. but jeez. Im a bartender myself and have racked my brain for a sense of understanding to no avail. My issue is she served me at least 10 times before but can’t help but feel discriminated against. Otherwise… what reason would you have to deny me water? I’m sure I would have not had an issue ordering a Jack/water, huh? Please elaborate.
A good ol' fashioned proper pub. If you go in alone theres a good chance to strike up a friendly conversation with a random person. No food or dance floor, just alcohol, one bartender/server for the entire house and good cold alcohol. I personally love the full gamut of diversity. Makes it fun.
Pretty damn cool spot. It's not a huge place in regards to space but I am totally cool with that. They had ice cold mugs for my draft beer and a cheap price. Really like this place. I will definitely go back.
Went in and me and bartender invented a drink. Great place. No pool table, but some arcade games. Simple bar. But good
First time coming here in several years. Came in to meet a few co workers and had a few drinks and some laughs. Had fish & chips. Very clean and affordable prices. And the food was perfect! The bartender was professional and friendly. Good place to s
Delicious food with a surprisingly full menu of sandwiches and burgers. Nashville sandwich had a good robust flavor with a bit of heat. For someone who does not like steak fries (sue me), these are really quite good. Plenty of good craft beer on ta
Amazing tacos! Favorite tacos I have tried around the area. They just changed from their food truck to having a new inside right where the food truck used to be and itâs very cute and clean inside. Always so friendly and happy here
If you're looking for the best tasting donuts from fun people, this is the place. If you're concerned about calories, not so much. From my POV, a pair of Avon donuts now and then are well worth a few extra miles on a bike. Best to get there early -
I love this taco truck. I try my best to try all the taco trucks in the area as there are a few, and this one is my favorite. They have great steak tacos and birria pizza. Trust me when I say get the family sized one.
They were great. The food was great, had that urban twist to it vs. a chain restaurant. But what really did it for me was the fast service AND I spilled my drink at the table, and before I even turned my cup upright, the lady was out with a towel to
If you have never been to Jamaica or Costa Rica but always wanted to go. Pura Vida is where both are combined in a authentic way. From the beans and rice to the curry and jerk chicken. Don't let me get started on the bread. Check the food review on J
