Proverbial Wine Bistro - Wine bar in Baton Rouge - 9659 Antioch Rd #105, USA

Charity was wonderful as our waiter/bar tender…the times I’ve dined here have been pleasing. Brunch was hot and pleasantly portioned. I love their waffle and chicken plate with a yummy coffee martini. All of my guests had a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to come back.

Delightful! The Taste of Tuscany and Artichoke Romana were so good! The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The outside dining atmosphere was casual and comfortable.

Modest and charming restaurant with a decent wine selection. Every time, our server has been engaging and attentive creating a relaxed environment immediately. We began with a glass of wine and the Artichoke Romana. The appetizer was unexpectedly savory, my favorite part of our meal. We split the Prime Cut Board with the filet as our meat. The creamed spinach was mouthwatering and the steak was cooked to perfection. The carnitas tacos are spicy but very delicious. Great lunch spot or date night, but be sure to have a reservation.

So I don’t write reviews , this actually might be the first review I ever wrote. But me and my girlfriend had an amazing time! Chris was our server and he was amazing, he definitely made the experience what it was , from the drinks he made , the conversation he had and just his hospitality in general was top tier. We loved the food and we loved the drinks. Even the bathrooms were up to to par lol. Don’t hesitate in the slightest to come here! it’s great and ask for Chris because he is amazing , we had an amazing time!

We had the Seafood Board, A steak board with cream spinach, cauliflower au-gratin and so much more!! The dessert board was out this world. Please if you haven’t check them out you’re missing out. Best Dinner I’ve had this year hands down !! Will definitely going back .

The food was really good here. We had the salmon with cauliflower. I recommend that and the creamed spinach! However, I did find that the drinks (cocktails and wine) are way too expensive for such casual dining.

I had reservations for 8:30 made it to the restaurant roughly 8:25. I waited and was approached finally at about 8:33. I was told hold a second and about 8:40 someone returned I asked what was the hold up? I was then told they were preparing my table. I was finally seated about 2-3 minutes later. Order water/ a drink. Once my waiter returned with the water she informed me there were no seafood items available. I find that this is something that should have been said while waiting 15 minutes to be seated. ( being I’m pescatarian)

The most delicious food! Our waitress, Charity was amazing and had great suggestions. We had never had lamb before, but she told us how delicious it is. We ordered it and we’re beyond pleased! We had an amazing anniversary dinner!
